If it's your first time here, I would start with Monday's opening video. Trust me, you don't want to miss it. Next, I would do yourself a favor and check out ROUND 1 and ROUND 2. You really should see each one of the Evil Baby contestants.
This way you'll have a better chance of identifying them if one attacks while you sleep.
Now. Before I get to yesterdays's results, it has come to my attention that people want Evil Baby Glare-Off Memorabilia. And who am I to deny the people (my mother and some lady in California) what they want?
Below are a few commemorative items now available for sale.
Top left t-shirt comes courtesy of kevinblah and it says "There are no winners in Evil Baby Glare-off. Only survivors." The onesie comes courtesy of mamawantsthis and it says "If you think I look evil, you should meet my mother." You can find all items plus additional Mommy Shorts merchandise by clicking here.
Moving on.
Yesterday I got more traffic than any other day in the history of Mommy Shorts. The match-ups were ridiculously close and there were TWO HUGE UPSETS. One upset happened in the very last hour of voting causing me to alter graphics after they were already set in place. So Election 2000!!!
LESSON: EVIL BABY GLARE-OFF ISN'T OVER TILL THE POLLS CLOSE.
Say hello to the updated tournament bracket (click to enlarge).
I know. There are a few surprises.
Ready?
Thank you to Jessica, Kevin, Pam and Stefanie for their awesome "evil baby questions". If you think you can do better, leave a comment under yesterday's post. Best comment wins yesterday's giveaway and I'll be using more of them tomorrow.
MAY THE EVILEST BABY WIN!
———————————
GIVEAWAY:
Today there will be THREE WINNERS of any plush toy ($30 or under) from North American Bear Co. North American Bear has been a big fan of Mommy Shorts for quite some time and were the first to spring to action when I asked for glare-off prizes and sponsors. (THANK YOU!)
There are literally hundreds of adorable bears, dolls, and plush toys on their site so I took the liberty of selecting a few of my favorites.
They also sell an adorable line called MY OWN BEARS which are designed by kids and come with special hangtags showing the child's original artwork used to create the bear. Even better, a portion of the sales goes towards HUGS ACROSS AMERICA which provides teddy bears to kids in need.
BUT. If your kid is one of the eight evil babies above and would rather eat the contents of their own diaper than give to charity, might I recommend this Monster named YUCKY.
GIVEAWAY RULES:
1) You must be a Mommy Shorts Facebook Fan to enter. If you are not one already, you can become one by clicking "Like" on the facebook widget on my right sidebar or by clicking here.
2) Answer this question in the comment section below: What song should I use in the EVIL BABY GLARE-OFF closing video? I'm not promising there will be a video. But just in case I get inspired. Best suggestion wins whether I use it or not. Plus two other winners chosen at random.
3) This is not required BUTβ please spread the word of the Evil Baby Glare-Off. Post a link on your facebook page, click "like" underneath the post, tweet about it, tell your dentist, whatever. Just because that would be VERY NICE OF YOU.
All giveaway winners will be announced on Monday October 17th, along with the winner of the glare-off.
GOOD LUCK!
Oooh this is getting interesting!!
Thanks for using my line for the onesie!! Yay!
The soundtrack for the game Silent Hill is VERY CREEPY and evil. Gave me chills.
Might even be too much for this contest. π
As much as I wanted Grant to win (because I wanted a mug….well and “bragging” rights), I am glad it’s over. Dang, that wiped me out! lol. And I have to admit, even my dad said he’d vote for Emmett over his own grandson! Good luck π
I would recommend the theme music from Halloween… gives me the creeps. And also, GO TEAM CHELSEA! It turns out that even a super-evil glare doesn’t kill germs, so she’s home sick, but I bet a big win would make her feel much better :).
How about Crazy Train? That opening is so awesome.
Anything by Marilyn Manson
Monster in My Pants by the B52’s?
(I just changed a wicked diaper – not from the glaring child.)
Renegade by Styx…
And damn you Lotte and Mark for crushing my final four! What an upset! You truely are Evil Babies!!
Wooooo!!! π
You should pick a song that is in juxtaposition from the evil-ocity. Like Shiny Happy People by REM. I love sarcasm. And the word juxtaposition.
personally i’d go with don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys.
or maybe bob mould’s “I can see a little light” lyrics which incl. “i can see a little light, i know you still care, but if you want me to go you should just say so…”
Well, since the Barney Song (I love you, you love me…) sends me into a homicidal rage, I think I’ll nominate that one!
Channel that and vote for LUCIE who is up against Emmett, that stinker who beat out your Grant. Plus, it’s Lucie’s 9 month birthday today & we can’t disappoint a little girl on such a special day π
I second that!!!
Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. Set the babies mug shots to flash along with the bass line…haunting.
Would it be too much to use a Marilyn Manson song? I say of course not!
Battle without Honor or Humiliation from Kill Bill 1
Jaws theme song! (Just found you today from Sh*t My Kids Ruined…AWESOME site you have here!!)
Haha I totally second Cheryl’s suggestion of the Barney song- ironic and hilarious all at once!
I say the Psycho theme song. I just found this from SMKR. Love this idea!
I think the Poltergeist theme song pretty much sums up the evil- but how can a baby be evil- vibe of this competition…
However, after further thought I think that the Elvis entrance music might be a little more celebratory:
http://youtu.be/OWIdWTk9aZI
especially with the CC Rider coming after it.
My vote is for the theme from Exorcist, “Tubular Bells”. It kind of has that creepy tin music box sound, perfect for that my-head-is-going-to-start-spinning-around-demon-baby-stare.
American Bad Ass- Kid Rock
We Are the Champions
This is the New Sh*t – Marilyn Manson. Not kid appropriate, at all.
Oh, I totally agree! That song would be perfect!
Lila got beat out! I can’t believe it π
I can’t wait to see how this pans out!
Ilana –
You’ve outdone yourself.
Really.
XO
I’m a survivor – beyonce
I’m a survivor – beyonce
Black Sabbath’s ‘Paranoid’
But, really…PLEASE don’t tell Chelsea I said that.
Crazy Train would be an awesome choice.
I can’t believe Lila lost the last round. I was rooting for the little heathen. Hee hee! π
How about “Love Hurts” for all of us out there that love these little evil geniuses?
MGMT – Kids!!
I love that song, my middle daughter Jasmine thinks its her in the video as a baby. (probably because my husband told her it was, lol)
DMX- Party Up – (Lose my mind)… I can see all these kids going berserk on someone and standing over the cowering victim growling.
David Bowie (feat Nine Inch Nails) – I’m Afraid Of Americans. I think this would work well π
The closing video song should be the theme song from “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly”. Nothing else says “ultimate showdown” quite like that.
Shiny Happy People by REM would be a good choice… weird enough with the baby glares to kind of be creepy. LOL
“Baby” by Justin Beiber – oh the juxtaposition!
David Bowie (feat Nine Inch Nails) – I’m Afraid Of Americans would be great π
Highway to Hell by AC/DC
The music they used in Reservoir Dogs – Stuck in the middle with you….
You are so creative!! Love this!!
Star Wars the Imperial March (Darth Vader’s theme)
Eye of the tiger. Or that yo gabba gabba thing, where they sing: think happy thoughts, happy thoughts, that’s what you gotta do!
it IS exhausting! like you, i’m a little glad its over. i think i’ve been feeling relief since i woke up this morning and saw who aedan’s competition was haha… shoot, i don’t think even ** i ** could glare down miss chelsea! π
I figured it out- Dragula by Rob Zombie. But I too like the idea of a juxtaposed happy song like ‘What a wonderful world’ π
somehow i don’t quite buy that… i think she just hasn’t USED her glare on those germs. there’s no way they would have stuck around after one of those looks! π
there is a song that has Rocky Balboa in it… I have no idea what is it called, but it starts with – My name is…. Rocky Balboa… its a fighting type song _obviously… could be a good one.. nice beat and yet not scary π
Totally need Michael Jackson’s “Bad”!
Who’s BAD?!?!
Can I just say, given how Chelsea has kicked the other opposition to the curb, I feel way better about Lil Diva getting kicked out in the first round by her evil highness – particularly given how close they were.
I mean, you have to be pretty badass to beat the Chucky impersonation.
Go Chelsea!
And feel better!
Songs you could use: Am I Evil? by Metallica
Heart of the Devil by Danzig
Shoots & Ladders by KoRn
If you need a song go to Randy Newman’s “Let’s Drop the Big one Now”
