My dear friend Jessica Shyba from Momma's Gone City won the internet today. Like, we can all go home, shut our computers and just stare at our phones waiting for Jessica to post her latest picture of her son Beau napping with their new puppy Theo on Instagram.
Seriously. Nothing is more pressing or more entertaining. NOTHING.
Remember how I said my video of Harlow and Mazzy might make parents who are "one and done" reconsider? These photos might just make anti-pet people (am I the only one?) rethink their aversion to getting a dog.
Someone please remind me that you have to take it outside at 6am and pick up its poop with your hand.

OMG just freakin cute!!!
BFF’s for life. So precious.
I wish my 4yo still napped.
Adorable! But yeah remember: Take the dog out at 6am, (many times when they’re babies) piss on your carpets, hair on your furniture, chewed shoes, AND last but not least, expensive vet bills…
Oh, sweet jeebers. That is too much.
But still, no dog. Nuh uh. Just no.
So sweet. I’m obsessed with her instagram.
If I lived in NYC I wouldn’t want a dog either…it’s a lot easier to let a dog out in our fenced in backyard while I’m still in my jammies and have coffee in hand.
these pics are so adorable! i am one and done but just got a puppy a couple months ago for my son (and us). the pup doesn’t shed (they type of breed he is), and is my son’s best friend. better than a sibling in a lot of ways (no sharing!) 🙂 and i agree with katherine, easier with a fenced in yard where you can just let the dog out to do it’s business and pick it up with the pooper scooper later.
Haha you read my mind!
oooh, I’ve seen people posting the links to this all over Facebook and never actually looked at the photos ’til now.
these photos make my heart melt!!
(and if you want something to help you keep it real- the only thing our dog has to do with our napping son is….. bark and wake up the baby. if he hears other dogs barking outside, doorbell, someone bumping into anything- BARK!
I love these pics, I’ve seen them all over the place (the Ellen Show, etc) and am super impressed that you know the mom! Sorry, I’m a pet lover so I don’t have any anti-pet advice for ya. I grew up with a zoo, I had everything from hamsters to snakes to a tarantula, and of course cats and dogs. I come from an animal loving family, what are you gonna do. lol. We currently have three cats (all rescues) and one golden retriever. The one thing that drives me nuts about our dog is the shedding, so that might be a deterrent for ya. The shedding does suck. Also, I can see how having a dog in the city would be hard – we can let Milo out into the backyard whenever we want. So there’s that…
Dear god the cuteness is overloading for sure Is anyone else curious about how she’s getting her toddler to sleep this much?
