Two weeks ago when I introduced Average Parent Problems on Instagram, it was at a few thousand followers. After coverage on Buzzfeed (it trended!) to Elite Daily (smart people like it!) to Hello Giggles (young childless people like it too!) with a feature on Good Morning America Saturday morning (!!!), my new account now has 78K followers!
My favorite quote so far as been from a site called Bustle, which said, “Average Parent Problems makes memes out of average parents with average behaving children. So if your child hasn’t done anything particularly unique like mimicking a Bruce Lee Film to perfection, don’t despair: Being mundane and run-of–the-mill is now every bit as shareable as the exceptional.”
Ahhhh, I bask in the glow of the unremarkable. IT FEELS GOOD.
