"OK, now you have put Valentine's Day on my radar a whole two weeks in advance. That's more time to build up unrealistic expectations of surprise vacations, diamonds and a bathroom remodel. With each day, my expectations climb higher and higher, until they teeter and totter and come 'atumblin down in the form of a can of Almond Roca from CVS."

Thanks Ilana!!!!!!! Do you know that I was actually scanning the aisles for Almond Roca at CVS on Saturday? I was racing up and down, but there was this nagging feeling like I was doing something wrong. Then I’m reminded of my own words right here. The enemy lies within, I guess. I have 8 hours to pull something together for my beleaguered husband!
Haha I remember laughing when I read that… I was an idiot this year and decided to pull the whole, “I don’t think we need to do anything for Valentine’s Day.” When will guys learn not to pay attention when we say things like that??
