When Mazzy was little, I documented each milestone with its very own post. But with Harlow, time passes so fast, I find she's onto the next milestone before I've mentioned the last one. We all know she reached her physical milestones all at once (rolling over, sitting up, crawling, walking, driving, etc.), but talking has been much slower.
Harlow is 19 months now and over the past week, she has started stringing together a few words here and there, so I think a big breakthrough is coming soon. Before that happens, I'd like to take a moment to remember some of the little things she does that make me laugh. The things that let me know she understands what's going on, even though she can't quite communicate.
Here are fifteen things about Harlow right now, I'd like to remember:
1. Harlow wakes up between 5am and 6am. It's brutal, but that's a story for another time. She cries to alert us (and by us, I mean, ME) and I rush to her room to take her out of her crib before she wakes up Mazzy. When Harlow sees me, her greeting is not "Mama" or "Good Morning" or even "Hi". It's "waffle". What does that mean? Loosely translated it's "Get me a waffle immediately before I scream so loud I wake my sister!" Then she will continue to whimper in my arms until the waffle is unearthed from the freezer, stuck in the toaster for three minutes, cut into four triangles and then served up ceremoniously on a plate. At this point, I can make a waffle with one arm with my eyes closed in the dark, and at 5:15am, I pretty much do.
2. Every morning, when we walk Mazzy to camp with her backpack, Harlow insists on wearing a backpack too. It's more than half her size.
3. Harlow is obsessed with a book called Boo. You know that little furball internet celebrity? I got the book as a gift for a friend but never gave it to her. Then Harlow found it and became obsessed. Every night before bed, I try to select a different book and she screams, "BOO BOO BOO!!!" The book is 100 pictures of the same dog in different locations and outfits, with lines like "Urban pup", "Casual pup", and "Here I am frolicking in the grass!" For some reason, Harlow cracks up at the same photo every time. The caption is "preppy pup" and it's Boo wearing a green sweater. She just loses it, giggling and pointing. There are far more interesting photos ("Monkey Pup" and "Glam Pup" come to mind) so I have no idea what Harlow finds so much more amusing about "Preppy Pup" than the others.
4. Harlow likes everything Mazzy likes, even if she has no idea what the stuff is. Case in point: Mike bought Mazzy princess themed toothpaste and Mazzy (understandably) got really excited. Then Harlow refused to use her Thomas the Train toothpaste because she wanted to use the princess toothpaste too. But the princess toothpaste is made for older kids who have the ability to spit it out. So… after much screaming and crying and Harlow having no clue why I wouldn't just let her use the goddamn princess toothpaste (WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN, MOOOOOM????!!!), I covered the Thomas toothpaste with princess stickers. Now she is totally fine with it.
5. Harlow's favorite thing to say is "thank you". If you give her fifty things in a row, she will say "thank you" fifty times after each exchange. It is perhaps the cutest thing I have ever heard. Or anyone has ever heard. I'll have to make a "Harlow saying thank you" greatest hits video. Give me a few days.
6. When Harlow does things, she does them with PURPOSE. Check out this video of her banging on the drums.
7. Harlow likes to clean. Every time I'm not looking, Harlow rifles through the diaper bag and finds the wet wipes. Then she takes one out and starts wiping the windows. Also, whenever I start putting her toys away, she helps out while singing the "clean up" song. Except it sounds more like "ean up, ean up…". She also likes to BE clean. There is nothing she likes better than taking a bath, brushing her teeth and washing her hands. Often the struggles we have is when I force her (kicking and screaming) to stop washing herself. Not exactly a fight I ever thought I would have as a parent.
8. Harlow thinks all dolls are called "Anna". Sometimes she also thinks her sister's name is "Anna" depending on the day.
Speaking of Frozen, the other day my stepmother (aka Nonna) gave Mazzy her first cup of chocolate milk. Mazzy took one sip and said "Chocolate…" in this way that sounded really familiar. I said, "Mazzy, where did you hear that? What's that from?" And then Harlow shouted, "Anna!!!" She was right. Mazzy said it exactly like Anna and Elsa say "chocolate" in unison in Frozen.
9. One more from Frozen. (By the way, it feels like most people have moved on from Frozen, but my kids are still firmly entrenched so there's nothing I can do about that.) In case you ever take out your phone or laptop while watching Harlow, please know that when she screams "Go!", that is Harlow speak for "Please let me watch the Let It Go video on YouTube".
10. Remember how Harlow always carried around a purse? She is now obsessed with all accessories including necklaces, bags, hats, scarves, etc. In fact, a few weeks ago we were outlet shopping and Harlow tried to leave a store with five purses over her arm. Did I mention she likes to steal too?
Speaking of accessories, Harlow never met a pair of sunglasses she didn't like.
11. Harlow also loves shoes. She often hands me her shoes so that I can put them on her feet first thing in the morning, hours before we are ready to walk out the door. She also likes everyone else to be wearing their shoes and is very proud of herself that she knows who's shoes are who's and where to find them. Every morning she goes into our closets and then delivers our respective shoes. Dad gets his flip flops hand delivered. Mazzy gets her salt waters placed in front of her. I get my black platform sandals. If you ever come over our apartment at 6am, you'll probably find all of us wearing pajamas and shoes.
12. The first time Harlow tried ketchup was at a nearby restaurant. She kept sticking her fries in the ketchup and licking it off. Finally, I told her she had to eat some of her chicken too. So she took her fry but instead of dipping it into the ketchup, she dipped it into the basket of chicken nuggets. Then she licked that same damn fry once again.
13. Harlow imitates every thing we do. If I cough, she spends the next ten minutes practicing coughing. If I blow my nose, Harlow grabs a tissue and blows hers too. Every time any one goes to the bathroom, Harlow runs in, points to her diaper and says "poopie" or "pee-pee". At first we thought she was telling us she had to go and would jump off the toilet to sit her on the potty. But now we realize she is just copying us. Or rather, narrating our bowel movements in baby talk. Aren't we lucky?
14. Harlow still has the same killer glare she's had since she was born. But she has a killer smile too. Even if the pacifier gets in the way.
15. I've been working busily trying to get Harlow to say "I love you" and she kind of says something similar back. Yesterday, instead of just repeating me when I said "I love you", Harlow very clearly added "Mommy" to the end. As in, "I love you, Mommy".
"Very clearly" might be an exaggeration. But I'm her mom. I know what she said.
What's your baby up to lately? And if your kids are past the baby stage, please tell me they are not over Frozen yet!

I just discovered your blog after someone posted an older post about Mazzy postponing bedtime. I was super annoying and made tons of comments before realizing it was 2 1/2 years old. It’s still a great post and applies to many parents. Anyway, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far and I look forward to reading more. Your daughters are adorable. BTW…my 2 yr old daughter is still obsessed with Frozen. We’ll be going to see Disney on Ice-Frozen this January, so the obsession with continue on. We recently saw a Beatles Tribute band at a 4th of July fest, so I’m happy that her music obsession has turned to the Beatles for now.
My almost four year old daughter is still obsessed with Frozen. I used to do a lot of sewing, back when I had time and a house that wasn’t full of legos so I could actually spread fabric out. Anyway, point being, I have lots of fabric stashed in the attic that I haven’t touched in years, and I realized the other day that I already have enough blue fabric in the right shade to make her a Queen Elsa dress for her birthday. She has a green princess dress, but she won’t wear it, because “that’s an Anna dress.”
Her reward for filling up her potty training sticker chart, assuming we ever get there, is an Elsa doll. (I know. She’s almost four and she’s still not pooping in the toilet. At this rate, her 8 month old brother will get there first.) Even though she can’t take it out of the box yet, she asks us to get it down from the shelf all the time so she can look at it. I’m hoping this will finally be the motivation she needs! So yeah, totally still with you on the Frozen thing.
What a cutie-pie! My baby girl is 2 months old – she has just started smiling (!!!) and interacting with us more. We’re to able to play with her a bit now and sometimes can coax a little half-giggle out of her. It really makes up for sleepless nights and all the spit-up in my hair. 🙂
4.5 year old and 23 month old are both a still obsessed with Frozen in our house… GREAT idea about covering that Thomas toothpaste in princess stickers. I will be doing that today!
Betting that boo book was for me ….
My 19 month old son is just a couple of weeks younger than Harlow and doing so many of the same cute things. He didn’t start moving around as early as she did, not now that he does he has no fear on climbing on anything, including trying to get out of his chair at dinner every single night. He also loves saying Thank you for everything, but more than that he likes to say No. Sometimes he really loves screaming it. Maybe you just left that little piece of information about Harlow out of your blog? 🙂
Harlow says “no” a lot but she doesn’t really scream it. If she doesn’t get what she wants, she’ll usually just goes for straight up screaming and crying. No words necessary.
Also, I realize now I have to do a whole post about Harlow’s current vocabulary. I forgot to write about her affinity for the words “my” and “mine” too. Those are her FAVORITES.
My daughter is 2.5 (next week!) and she uses anything and everything to pretend to paint her nails. A spoon handle? In her mind that is nail polish. EVERYTHING is nail polish. Last night, she was actually painting (pictures) and soon enough, brown paint dabbed on every finger nail. She was so proud.
My 18 month old nephew is at his happiest with a snack in his hand – or both hands! So I completely understand your morning waffle greeting… I don’t understand how he can eat so much! We’ll take him to dinner and he’ll eat his whole plate, half of ours, and then still want a snack when we get home! And he’s not huge – amazing!
Harlow reminds me a lot of my daughter when she was that age. We have outgrown the princess stage (brilliant idea with the toothpaste BTW) and the accessory stage but her single mindedness and sense of purpose in everything she does remains.
My 2.5 y/o is definitely still obsessed with Frozen. Frozen and Hello Kitty are pretty much all she would need to survive.
Her favorite thing is to correct me all the time.
“It’s swim day at daycare; let’s pack your backpack!”
“No, it’s not! I don’t WANT to take my backpack!”
“I’m hungry; let’s eat breakfast.”
“No. You’re not.”
She also loves to be read to and if I’m doing something else and can’t read to her, she will read to herself. On the 30 minute drive to her grandma’s on Sunday, she read the manual for the Sync feature in my car. It was apparently riveting, because she didn’t utter a peep the whole drive.
Harlow and my 20 month old, Carys, would be best friends. This was great. And I’m not allowing them to get over Frozen until after Halloween (wedding, flower girl dresses, arm, leg, Etsy). You get the picture.
I have a 2.5 year old boy who just went back to daycare or “school” as I call it, because he seems more excited to go if you call it “school” because he’s a big boy now you know. Bought him a new spongebob backpack because that’s his thing and now he wants to take it EVERYWHERE. He doesn’t like super heroes could care less about educational shows such as diego or what’s that little pirate boys name? Anyways he does like doc McStuffins though, but it’s mainly because he likes to sing the check up song. My son likes to sing EVERYTHING it’s like a musical at my house.
I also have an 8 month old daughter. She follows her brother EVERYWHERE and does EVERYTHING he does. It’s like I have 2 two year olds… only I can get to one faster than the other since the 8 month old can’t walk. She has started pulling up on stuff and trying to climb into things, like the other night my son was in the bath… I saw her head down the hall as fast as she could go, I followed behind and when I looked in she had done pulled up on the edge of the tub and was trying to climb over in it with my son….. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into …. LOL
My youngest son who is 2 1/2 now would not say “I love you” EVER! He does however randomly spit out “I firetruck you” which I can only assume in lil boy land is better than love. So now ever night when we put him into bed we all say “I firetruck you”.
My 2 almost-5-year-olds are not over Frozen. We just drove from Canada to Florida in 2 days. We put Frozen on the Kindle. As soon as it ended, I asked what they’d like to watch now. Frozen. Again. I mean, it LITERALLY had just ended. They must have watched that movie 7 or 8 times over the drive there and back.
Are you sure you didn’t birth my child Lia along with Harlow without noticing? They have at least met without us knowing. Lia is the same age, and does almost everything on this list in exactly the same way, including the shoes, the “let it go”, the purses, the obsessive cleaning with wipes…it’s almost creepy. She’s also been a slow talker and is obsessed with saying thank you.
This is adorable and you’ll be so glad you have this someday. Also, I’m in awe of your brilliance on #4. I don’t think I would have come up with that.
Both of my girls 4 & 2.5 are addicted to Frozen. Just the other day there was a bunch of squealing going on because Elsa(my eldest’s Zoe) kept locking Anna(my youngest Maia) out of her Ice Castle (aka Zoe’s room)
I love your blog, but I am especially in love with your Harlow posts. My daughter Chloe is almost 18m and Harlow reminds me so much of her. Same shoe obsession – Chloe dispenses flip-flops but we think it’s a means to get everyone dressed to take her outside. Same need to clean, same love of accessories. Instead of the window, though Chloe takes her wipes and cleans the dining room chairs. She’s not much of a talker, my girl – but she is well aware of EVERYTHING that’s going on around her. Her favorite word is “yeah” and is often given in kind of a well thought out roar – “mmmmmmmmYEAAAHHHH!” 🙂
I’m convinced that Harlow and my Harper are twins separated at birth. It creeps me out a bit how EXACTLY the same they are, but also generally makes me feel better about life. And I’m not kidding, the cleaning, the shoes and bags, the toothpaste, and the Frozen are all the same, which is all to say, I’m still subjected to Frozen at least twice a day and searching for an Elsa doll on ebay or calling the Disney store when their stock comes in on Thursdays.
Oh we are soooo not over Frozen yet. In fact, driving back from our 4th of July trip last weekend, hubby and I were chatting, the older two were dozing, and I could just barely hear that the toddler was singing to herself. Out of no where, she suddenly BELTS, “I ne’er go-een back, da pat ih in da PAAAAAT!” I *died* laughing, and she very indignantly admonished me, “What you laugh at mama!? Ih not funny!!” Thank goodness she can’t zap me with ice powers… 🙂
My daughter is 7 months next week and is starting to sit up on her own (finally). She was a preemie so is starting to hit the milestones that we thought were taking FOREVER. She also has both bottom teeth. Time is flying!
Harlow is the best 🙂 She’s super cute! We are not over Frozen here. Heck we’re not even over Rapunzel yet. That intense love has died down though and we’re in there for the long haul. My daughter is 7, so she doesn’t let these things go quickly. In face she has princess lessons at the end of the month with the week culminating in a coronation held by none other than Elsa. So no worries. You’re not alone. No one if knocking off Frozen anytime soon.
Hahahah this is so cute! I love how you fixed that Thomas toothpaste with princess stickers. That’s some mad mommy skills Illana. Ethan is about to turn 3 and Harlow sounds a lot like him, he used to wake up at 5 or 6 am EVERYDAY! Even weekends, thank God now he gets up at 7:30. Yay for 2 more hours of sleep. He used to have an evil baby glare since day one, and he still has it but uses it accordingly when he is mad at me or other people around him. One of my favorite things about him when he was younger was also saying Thank you for everything! but in his case was a Kee-Koo. That was his own interpretation of Thank you. So sweet!
Charlie & I have a new component of our bedtime routine. After we read a sleepy bedtime story of his choosing (which is usually “Trucks Go,” a playful tale of 8 trucks and the noises they make), we get the sillies out. This usually means Mum (that’s me) sings a ridiculous made up song about getting the sillies out while I make him shake his shoulders from side to side & he shakes his head “no” and squeals/giggles. He’s usually so jazzed from getting the sillies out that he gulps down a little milk and then passes out for the night.
seriously! best idea yet! why didn’t I think of it? we got a gazillion princess stickers! Thanks!
Just letting you know that not all kids are over Frozen yet. My four year old put back FIVE other toys (from a clearance bin) in order to trade for two 4 inch tall Anna and Elsa dolls that I said were too much money yesterday. She started screaming at me in the store “I want to EARN it! Mommy, PLEASE! I will be good and earn these toys! But we have to buy them now before someone else does!!”
My 17 month old calls me “Amanda” when I don’t respond to “momma”. He pulls out the dining room chair, climbs onto the table, riffles through the candy dish, and brings his selection to the nearest person to unwrap. He has broken all the child safety locks (he has brute strength). He will throw his hand up in the air and say “Opa!” (We just watched “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”).
my 2 1/2 year old is right in the middle of Frozen, no end in sight yet!
Love reading your blog! My Frida is 18months so were in the same stages here I so relate!
She is currently very afraid of airplanes ( Or as shes lead me to believe). We practice yelling hello and waving to them. I guess at daycare she has now said Airplane and quite enjoys them flying above..lol
She also enjoys greeting people with ” Howdy Doody!”
Harlow and my son, Noah sound pretty much like the same person. Except I make him wear his accessories only at home. He greets in the mornings with “waffle and chocolate milk in my belly” and LOVES shoes, sunglasses, and accessories. He also says thank you after every single thing I or anything else does for him.
Number four is genius!
I am so jealous that you have a kid that likes to be clean. I said to my daughter the other day “You’d go a week without bathing if I didn’t make you shower,” and she replied “No. I’d probably go a month.” Gross. And covering Harlow’s toothpaste with princess stickers was genius!
My girl turned 2 in April. She was a very early talker- full sentences at 18 mo. and full conversations by 24 months. She is extremely cautious and was slow with walking and still is not a confident climber. We don’t really watch TV with her at home but she watches cartoons at her caregiver’s house while lunch is being made. She’s constantly telling me she likes Meshe’s house best because Paw Patrol, Dora and Bubble Guppies come to her TV but not ours. Recently she is obsessed with the potty because her best bud at the care giver’s is potty training. So I got the potty seat, sticker chart and all that jazz but I know she doesn’t get it. She tells me when she is going in her diaper but refuses to go on the potty until after she has gone in her diaper. Driving me NUTS. I don’t want to discourage her so we keep going through the motions and she is so proud of herself…I keep praying she’ll lose interest and we can start again later in earnest when she actually wants something to end up in the potty!
love seeing her in our dresses! xo!
That is adorable. 🙂
My son and I watched Frozen (he just turned 3) a few months ago and he watched the whole thing intently, but at the end the action got to be too much and he burst into tears! Never asked to see it again. I have two young cousins (girls) who are still very much obsessed though. One of them (3 yrs old) loves accessories as much as Harlow and can never be seen without jewelry, sunglasses and a purse.
My son’s new thing is to refuse to go anywhere because he wants to stay home and “pay pay pay ah gay.” (play play play all day.) He also thinks that potty words are the most hilarious jokes he ever invented “poopy butt”, “butt”, “toot” etc.
Oh man, I feel you on the constant hand washing and the toothpaste. My nephew will constantly wash his hand and flush the toilet. He happily closes his nose and exclaims “ewww poopy” then flushes it. Plus, the hand washing is out of control. Like kid can’t be that worried about dirt. I mean one chance with the water house and he has made himself a mud bath…this ain’t Glen Ivy, kid! There’s the tooth paste, he hates that he has to use the clear toothpaste and sister gets to use the glittery-pink-big-bottle toothpaste. Thanks to constantly trying to trick him, he yells NO!!! as soon as he sees Thomas’s jolly face on the Target shelf.
My LO is 15 months. She is currently obsessed with this Melissa and Doug Princess Dress Up Magnet set. She has to play with it every morning, and every afternoon after daycare. And she loves books! The current favs are The Cat in the Hat, Shai’s Shabbat Walk (b/c its new) and anything about dogs. I’m going to look into the Boo book. I think she would love that as much as Harlow does!
We are still obsessed with frozen n this house, my 2 year old Son loves to sing let it go and both the 4 year old girl and he play frozen all the time and expect me to unfreeze them with true love 🙂
Harlow is so cute! My 9 month old is climbing everything she can, including the baby gate (thankfully it is just blocking an entrance way and not any stairs). Yesterday she discovered the couch cushions lift up so she spent the afternoon hiding objects there then taking them out. Oh, she also loves spraying her food everywhere as soon as I get it to her mouth.
Awww, I love getting such a great Harlow update! As for Dylan, he’s now almost 10 months chronological/8 months adjusted (was a preemie for anyone reading this comment who finds the adjusted age confusing, was born 8 weeks/2 months early) and is pretty on par developmentally with other 8 month olds. He’s sitting up, working on crawling, and no real words yet but he babbles constantly. He also greets all of the animals (3 cats and a dog) with what sounds like, “Heh!” lol. He also gives kisses! I think it’s due to me giving him millions of kisses and I always say, “I’m going to give you kisses!” Now I can say, “Can I have a kiss?” and he’ll lean over and “kiss” me on the cheek (more like kind of slobbering on me, but who cares. lol) It’s adorable. He has two teeth so far, and really isn’t too enthusiastic about solids yet but we try.
Baby #2 is in ma belly! I’m 12 weeks now and at the ultrasound yesterday, Baby #2 was moving all around and doing barrel rolls! And is no longer making me nauseated and exhausted! So that’s what he/she is up to!
Love this lil round up for Harlow. Time sure does fly. The toothpaste one is hilarious!
I love that!
Yes! We love those Little Hip Squeak dresses so much! They are so easy to throw on and so cute. I’m sad that she is starting to outgrow a couple of them.
Mazzy hastes brushing teeth, eashing hands, taking a bath, etc. so it never would have occurred to me that having a baby who LOVES all of these things would be just as hard. She has full on tantrums when I finally decide we’ve wasted enough water for her two little hands or I refuse to put one more squirt of toothpaste on the toothbrush.
OH MY GOD! I just realized she is wearing all four of them in this post!
Came home from school today and they’re watching Frozen! (Son age 7, daughter age 5) 🙂
My recent two-year-old’s newest milestone is attempting to get her older brother in trouble to get what she wants. He was playing with something she wanted and he wouldn’t give it to her, so she grabbed her arm, turned to me and said, “Ow! Miles hit me!” I didn’t think she’d figure that out quite so early.
And we’re still in the midst of the Frozen obsession here, though my kids didn’t see the movie until Easter, so we’re starting a bit later than most, I think. The DVD is now scratched enough from them attempting to put it in themselves that it won’t play in our finicky car player.
Oh gurl!!!!! Love this. And all of your posts. Miss Harlow sounds like a blast of awesome. My little mini man too is quite particular in his life needs and wants. He’s 23 months old (I feel like I’m not allowed to say “almost 2″….) he’s not into frozen, so I can’t speak to that. But, he does seem to have a great love for British cartoons…. Trotro, the hive, and Jess the cat. His favorite thing to eat is bell peppers and if offer him a waffle, he throws it at the dogs and asks for a pepper in away only I understand. Maybe he needs a friend like Harlow so my dogs don’t get so many waffles…
Cute!!
This is hilarious! And oh so familiar! I have 3 year old and 19 month as well, and I swear our stories sound identical. All the way down from the frozen (which we are currently watching for the 2nd time today) and shoe obsession, to screaming “waffle” or “puff” at me as soon as she wakes up. Heaven forbid I give her the wrong flavor of puffs. You would think the world was ending. Such funny little creatures. I love this age!
My almost 2 1/2 is obsessed with shoes also. She is constantly getting her shoes out and wearing them around the house all day. She also takes great offense if she brings you a pair of your shoes and you don’t want to put them on haha
the stickers on the toothpaste is a great idea! My son saw some Bubble Guppies toothpaste yesterday and threw a fit because I told him it was for older kids and he couldn’t use it! He has some Bubble Guppies stickers that came out of a book we got so now I’m gonna go stick them on his toothpaste! lol
When I first discovered your blog I thought it was funny that your 4 year old was Mazzy and my 4 year old is Morgan AND your 19 month old is Harlow and my Harper turned 19 months today! After reading this I realize we have much more in common…Harlow and Harper are just alike. Because Harper’s big sister is constantly wanting something to eat, Harper now wakes up asking for a “snack”…she will either request a “waffie” (waffle) or a “pickie” (pickle- she is obsessed with pickles). Harper is constantly saying “thank you Mama-thank you Dad or thank you Mimi” (she calls Morgan Mimi) and it us the cutest thing in the world! I just told my husband this morning that I need to record it to look back on for when she is Morgan’s age and telling me how I ruined her day! My Dad says that she is a neat freak because she pulls her wipes out and wipes everything down while saying “mess”! She also loves to brush her teeth and recently discovered Morgan’s toothpaste that is the same as Mazzy’s and wouldn’t give it up even though I told her it was big girl toothpaste. She thinks every princess is “Elsa” and if you say “Elsa” to her or show her a picture she waves her arms back and forth above her head while singing “Go-Go”…another thing I need to get recorded! Harper dies not like to keep shoes on her feet but as of lately..if I put Morgan’s shoes on she will scream “shoes” until I put hers on even if she is still wearing pajamas! I feel like I just read about my life…maybe I am the suburban version of you (minus the awesome blog and celebrities in my home)
I adore Harlow, she’s so precious! It helps that my girl is the same age and doing the EXACT same things. I just ordered that Boo dog book….It might make my head want to blow off my shoulders, but my lady will love it. And, when does Harlow get to actually be in an episode of the Mommy Show? It’s one thing for a celebrity to do a craft with a pretty well behaved 4 year old….oh how I would love to see how things go down with Harlow on the loose. Though that might make your head blow off your shoulders.
Harlow is such an adorable little girl!
My kids (4yo girl, almost 3yr old boy) are still obsessed with Frozen. It’s tapered off at least to the point where it’s not all Frozen all the time. But my daughter did have an epic meltdown tonight because the outside showing of Frozen that we were supposed to go see was canceled because of weather.
My kid is super close to walking. He’s taken steps by himself but doesn’t particularly like to do so. Instead, he absolutely loves walking holding onto someone’s hand. My husband has probably walked miles with him so far!
I love the Harlow recaps! I have a 3.5 year old girl and an 18 month old girl and love seeing all the similarities to my girls. My little one loves washing hands so much we had to set limits on it. She’s not so great with W words so it sounds like, “hash hands!”
And in our house, it’s still Elsa’s world (we’re just living in it).
She is so so precious
My twins are 10 months old TODAY! I can’t believe it! They’re both very busy exploring everything right now–they crawl everywhere, and also love standing up and have figured out how to climb stairs (yikes!). While they want to play a lot during their awake time, they’re also getting very affectionate. Diane gives kisses (that involve biting your face–not so pleasant now that she has 6 teeth). Daniel will hug you fiercely, and suck on your nose or chin (whichever appendage is closest). They find each other wildly entertaining, too. They could spend hours just giggling at each other. Daniel will attempt to snuggle Diane, but that usually involves headbutting her repeatedly in the face, or just steamrolling her. She is less than amused by this. They’re amazing! 🙂
I get the Boo pup thing. My daughter used to laugh hysterically at everything the tiger puppet from Baby Einstein did. No idea why. The toothpaste solution was genius! I love Harlow’s glare. And my almost-four-yr-old is still obsessed w/ Frozen. “Almost four” reminds me I better hunt down some Elsa and Anna dolls tout de suite.
Your girls are beautiful! It is amazing how quickly they are growing up. My girls are 8 and 4 and it breaks my heart everytime they each reach a new milestone because. Enjoy!
So cute! My 3 1/2 year old just learned to use the toilet for number 2! FINALLY! And to spell our last name. My 13 month old has now started talking too. My big boy could say at least 20 words at age 1, little guy has almost 10 now. My fave is “re” for read a book to me…NOW!
When my oldest son was just about 2 he would climb up on the couch where I was sitting and lay his head on my lap and tilt himself crooked. And say “mommy, I love you up-side down”. Best ever. My 6mo old has yet to start talking but I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with!
here ini indonesia, my 6yo baby girl is still FROZEN
What’s up with my kids?
I’ll do a different post about each kid.
