Earlier this month, I asked everyone to submit winter pics of their kids for my #winterizeyourkid photo contest sponsored by Boogie Wipes.
I thought it was a little early to be talking about winter, but Boogie Wipes says it’s important to prepare yourself early. That’s when I had a flashback to late last December when I tried to buy Mazzy a pair of winter boots and every brand I wanted was no longer in stock.
Mom fails. They follow me everywhere.
Learn from my mistake and take this winter-themed post as your cue to buy your winter gear now (including Boogie Wipes of course).
This winter is supposed to be colder than last year and if the following photos are any indication, you’ll want to make sure your kids have what they need to weather the misery.
Congratulations to the winners of the three caption contests I held on the Mommy Shorts facebook page, who will each win a three month supply of Boogie Wipes. Each one of the winning captions involved a Frozen reference, so apparently you should prepare yourself for another year of Elsa and Anna too.

I am also giving the grand prize to the mom who snapped the photo of her daughter accidentally flipping the bird, because I think she summed up how everybody feels about winter perfectly. Her middle finger wins one complete winter outfit of her choice, pictured here.
That way, come December, she’ll be looking and feeling like this kid:
Please email ilana@mommyshorts.com to claim your prize.
Boogie Wipes are made with saline to dissolve mucus caused by allergies, the common cold or a runny winter nose. They are extra soft and come in Simply Unscented, Fresh Scent and Great Grape. Boogie Wipes are recommended by Pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.
They are also recommended by Harlow, who won’t have her nose wiped any other way.

This post was sponsored by Boogie Wipes but all thoughts on winter are my own.
“I bet you win mother of the year for this glove situation.” This is my favorite caption. I laughed!
Does anyone think that Frozen will actually still be relevant in 2015? Can we just let it go already?
“We could live in California, yet we live here?”. That’s how I feel.
Hahahahahaha!!!! THANKS Ilana, I can’t stop laughing. My 6 year old is by my side, enjoying my non-stop laughter. He doesn’t get half of the things I’m reading but he said that seeing me laughing makes his hearth “melt”…I hugged him and started laughing again…hahahaha!!.
Know what I want for Christmas Santa? Heat, summer, warm dry snow and my toys.
