Remember the first day of the Evil Baby Glare-off, when I asked everyone to predict the final four? NOT ONE PERSON GOT IT RIGHT. I don’t know what that says except, there are quite a few evil babies who are PISSED they were overlooked.
Parents, I would sleep with one eye open tonight.
If you are joining the Glare-Off for the first time, I’d suggest you check out all 32 evil babies who were competing in Round One. For everyone else, we are down to the FINAL FOUR.
This is the tournament bracket today:
Today’s giveaway will be a Mommy Shorts Mug, because everyone who is everyone wants one of those. If you think differently, Harlow will glare you into submission. See details at the end of the post.
Ready to vote in the semi-finals? It’s getting tougher…
Polls close at 9pm EST.
May the evilest baby win!
GIVEAWAY
Today I am giving away one of my newly designed Mommy Shorts Mugs! in the color of your choice.
Mommy Shorts Mugs come in eight different colors and are prefect for holding the liquid that keeps you awake while you take of your children. If it wasn’t for Mommy Shorts Mugs, that liquid would spill to the floor and you would probably fall face first into a pile of laundry, leaving your babies to fend for themselves.
Basically, Mommy Shorts Mugs keeps your kids alive. If you don’t win one, I would buy one just to be safe.
GIVEAWAY RULES
1) You must be a Mommy Shorts Facebook Fan or subscriber to enter. Then answer this very serious question in the comment section below:
What (topic, person, series, etc.) would you like to see more of on Mommy Shorts?
All giveaway winners will be announced on Monday October 27th, along with the winner of the glare-off.
GOOD LUCK!
🙁 NO!!! Justin! Can’t believe you lost.
I just love the funny stuff…more of that please. Life is too serious!
More about Mike.
I love evil babies, don’t get me wrong, but I’d also like to see more of the photo series from real mornings.
Series on the stories behind these faces we have been voting on!
More of the funny day-to-day stories. 🙂
Love the moday mornings! Just be you! It’s so organic and it totally works. Obviously! Of course maybe that’s because we live in the same city and both have two girls about the same ages…
As someone who has kids Harlow and Mazzy’s ages, I’d like to know more about what hallenges they give you… Like the No Fair! Type stuff… It makes my heart rate slow down a bit to realize that I’m not the only parent with a smart mouthed, sassy preschooler or an 18 month old who may send me to an early grave from challenging behavior!
More of the messes your children make. The things that remind us of imperfections, even though it will be photographed perfectly
I love how you have been dabbling with features on your home interior design, and a year ago, on fashion…not to make the whole blog about it but it is nice every once in while to give a rounded perspective on how you are able to do it
Shew! Choosing between Liam & Justin was tough! I wish they could have gone to the finals together.
I love to hear more about the girls day to day. They’re hilarious, and I love reading about them.
I love the Monday Morning series… it really helps to put everything in perspective and makes me take more time to enjoy my girls in the morning.
I’m wondering what you do for “me time.” (If you have any!)
The Monday morning moms are my absolute favorite!
Im a new liker to this page so im not too sure of the content but from what I can tell… farking hilarious is the way to go…lol.
More of the Monday Morning series, or something similar.
Hi there! I would love to see if there was a way to continue the Monday Mornings series. So powerful. Also, I just adore your personal parenting/funny-things-the-kids-did anecdotes. It’s great to read them because, well, kids are weird and difficult. All kids, not just mine! It’s comforting just knowing there are others out there fighting the good fight.
Love to see the comparison of what Mazzy was doing at age X versus Harlow. The differences when learning about the world from only adults vs an older sibling is fascinating when parenting in a definitively decided “one and done” family.
LOVE all of the funny stories. They seriously make my day!
I’d like to hear more about date nights that you’ve been able to have. Makes me want to get my act together and start dating my husband again! And like a previous poster wrote – some quips/stories about day to day life – maybe an inside peek of your office or a blog in the making. Also – any recommendations or products that you’ve discovered that give you energy at night? I put Paige to bed and the couch keeps calling my name! I think I need to start back up on some vitamins!
Real life scenarios and how they’re handled.
I’m a new fan, but love the humor of “real” parenting! Thank you for making us laugh, keep it coming =)
This has been fun! haha! I love the funny stuff. It makes me appreciate being a momma even more!
Monday morning moms
What I enjoy about your blog is that there are so many different subjects, but if I have to choose, I’d say that the humor of real parenting moments are what I enjoy most.
I enjoy the Monday Morning series, or something similar.
I too love the everyday stories and your hilarious spin on them!
I love all your topics- but I would like to see more about how you balance marriage, work, and motherhood. I also would like to see more topics like the Monday morning series. Highlighting real motherhood and it’s beautiful small moments.
I love the Monday morning series!
I love seeing what Mazzy and Harlow are up to, the regular kid stuff. It’s interesting to see the regular stuff in NYC vs how it is here in the MidWest.
As a mother of 4 all older now, whew! I think some stories of what to look forward to or to watch out for!
SO weird thing you may or may not have discussed before, and probably not particularly funny – but PPD or just depression from being overwhelmed may be a good topic for one day when you want to throw something serious into the bunch.
And I think you could throw a couple of funny things into that topic too. 🙂
I would love to see more of the Monday Morning Series!
I enjoy everything you write about, but since you are asking, my favorite posts are just funny takes on real life stuff 🙂
Love the beautiful mornings photo series. More like that would be great 🙂
I love the Mommy Show episodes! Keep ’em coming!
funny everyday day stuff
hard to say what I would want, it’s all hilarious. :S
Hmmm…I love the contests where we get to participate (like captions). But I also love the day-to-day funny stuff and the Monday mornings series. Maybe you could do a Jeckyll and Hyde contest – submit 2 photos of your kid – one being their angelic side and one where they’re -well, you know – evil.
I love all of the contests involving kiddos!
Potty training nightmares.
Honesty through hilarity in your daily articles is so great for so many moms out there who can relate and need a good laugh. Keep it coming!
I would love to see more of the city. I’m on the other coast, so it’s fun to see somewhere different. And all the funny stuff. Reading this is such a stress relief!
definitely the monday morning series, or something like that. also, missing dr. b!
I so enjoy the Monday Mornings! I want more of them (maybe once or twice a month please!). I find that the Monday Mornings features remind me to look for those calm, loving moments in my own house every morning. It’s been such a blessing.
More Harlow stories! I <3 Harlow.
I feel you as the younger sister who is slightly in the shadow, girl. I feel you!
Continue the Monday mornings series???
I love those anecdotes that are hilarious but remind us moms that we are not alone when we have done something only a “horrible” mom would do (wink) like forget birthday treats until the last minute or heaven forbid make our own child responsible for their behavior. That reassurance is nice to have when you think you have completely ruined their childhood…lol.
Love it all. My favorites are your hilarious posts with that emotional, insightful twist at the end. I love to hear about those perfect imperfect moments of parenthood. And I loved no fair. Keep those coming.
I love the ‘real’ stories you post. Stories about the girls, parenting in general, marriage, etc. Pretty much everything, I like.
I LOVE the contests and the humor!
I love hearing about how you are a new yorker mom. And Monday mornings they are amazing.
I would like to see more stories about things the kids do! It makes me feel like my child is normal when I read stories about things other children are up to.
Mommy disasters, charts, and Monday Morning photo series. Basically, everything.
Monday morning series
my favorite stuff is just about your family or you girls and the ridiculous life we all live with this little dictators.
I’d love to see more of your handsome husband, interacting with the kids
What is the toy you hated that you girls liked the most?
I love seeing Harlow dance!! More Harlow!!
What happened to baby profiling?
I’d like to hear more confessionals from moms about how low their housekeeping standards have sunk, now that there are toddlers in tow. Or share with us some moments we’re not too proud of when it comes to feeding our kids. Personally, I’ve let my kid go all day, eating nothing but Goldfish crackers and Snap Pea Crisps. I’ve called the cleaners to complain that we are missing an entire laundry bag (even outlining its contents), only to find it hiding under a pile of previously- worn clothes that we were too lazy to put away. I can’t be the only one.
You once mentioned that this was originally essentially a love letter to Mazzy. I like the posts where you get all mushy over your girls, even if they won’t appreciate it as teenagers, at least not outwardly.
I would love to hear about ‘bedtime bedlam’ – kids always have the best reasons or antics to delay bedtime routine or to disturb you during the night.
I loved the Monday morning series & more parenting tricks of the trade
Two of my four made it cant wait to see who takes it. I cant think of any one thing I wanted to see more of. I like the whole website.
I love the mommy show. and I miss all the times your sister the doctor would do advice. Are you still doing those packaged date nights? it made me jealous and also upset that the company wasn’t in Houston yet.
Also, I think you should subscribe to those monthy boxes that are full of stuff (snacks, beauty products, especially the clothes) and review all the stuff. I’m always tempted to get in on that trend, but I want really honest opinions on the items to see if it’s worth it.
Oh, and Gayla above just mentioned ‘bedtime bedlam.’ I think THAT would be a hilarious series.
I love seeing how you decorate the summer house.
I love all your stories. I would love more stories about your cute little girls!
I love the Mommy Show. I also enjoyed the series you did about dating your husband. I live no where near NYC, but it was nice to get some ideas and some inspiration to start dating my own husband.
Another tournament! This was fun.
My favorite stories are the day-to-day, real parenting moments, good and bad. You always inject a note of humor and are willing to laugh at yourself and admit mistakes, which is a breath of fresh air.
I love all the photo contests, the stories about your girls, and family stories.
I love hearing about your day to day dunny stories about the girls!
I love the Day in the Life type stuff, like the Monday Morning series and other stories about moms and their families.
I would love to see a post about your photography. I know you get asked all the time on instagram about your camera/apps and a quick tutorial would be great!!!
I really enjoy the Monday Morning series!
