On Tuesday, I wrote ten funny things about Harlow at two years and four months that I want to remember. Today, I’ve got one more.
Harlow has always liked to flip through books and pretend to read them. Recently, she has started telling her own abbreviated versions of the stories. It’s like Cliff’s Notes for baby books. Harlow’s Notes?
My favorite part is that every book ends the same way, with the last line from The Book with No Pictures: “The End. Bonk. I didn’t want to say that.”
Yep. “Bonk” is Harlow’s new “Happily Ever After”.
Check out Harlow “reading” The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which happens to be the perfect showcase for her little voice and over-the-top enthusiasm. I like her version better than the original.

So adorable!
Love it! So did my 10 1/2 month old!
That’s adorable! My two year old “reads” to herself too. They make up the best versions.
ha!! Her cuteness never stops! I love it!
Just had a total flashback to my daughter at 2 doing a similar “reading” and it warmed my heart. She is now 4 and having a very moody week so it’s fun to remember how cute she was at this stage. I’m off to tickle her, snuggle her and make her tell me a story.
“The end! BONK” So funny, I love it!!!
I love this! Harlow is so adorable. We enjoy reading Book with No Pictures too 🙂 She picked up a great line to use! My son (who is 4) is always saying “Badoongyface…”
OMG. That voice! She is beyond adorable!
Me: hey Cy, want to watch Harlow read a story?
Cy: YEAH!

Cy: (laughter) hug?
The little dude is obsessed with hugging little girls 🙂
Oh my goodness! Her little voice! Love seeing the videos
A BUTTERFLY! THE END! BONK!
Love it! so cute
That is so cute.
That’s really shrewd! Good to see the logic set out so well.
“Funny. 🙂 But it goes deep. You are describing an actual racket”If that’s a nice way of telling me I’m a day late and a dollar short, I appreciate the thoughtfulness, thanks. Not much room left in that field, huh? Oh well, maybe I can think of something else. As long as it doesn’t involve work, I’m game.
