Harlow loves putting on a show. The only problem? Every time I try to get her performances on video, she starts running around the house while she’s singing and the video ends up looking like something that might give viewers a seizure.
My solution?
Place her in a box.
Here’s Harlow singing “Jingle Bells” while standing in a box, using her Micro Kickboard as a microphone. The kickboard is on wheels, which makes it even better.
Merry Christmas in June!

Love!
How does one comment the video?
Telling my sister we are having to-Furkey for dinner and surprising her with lobster! She was checking the grill and ovens because she was so confused!
The funniest part of my holidays so far was seeing how much my five month old son loves opening presents. We figured he would not care this year but his eyes lit up with every package and went to town – I think he gets that from his mother.
My favorite party of Christmas was just being home with my little family in our jammies and watching our 5 year old open presents. ☺
My favorite part was helping my brother-in-law’s family surprise everyone. They live far away and nobody expected them to come for Christmas. It was so fun to see all the reactions when they walked in!
My favorite moment so far was seeing all of my family, we played that “pie face” game, and it led to a whipped cream fight
Yesss! Best idea ever on how to contain them! Mine do the same-run around performing.
Funniest moment of the holidays was seeing my husband looking totally awkward in a borrowed Santa suit
Love the sweet stories! One of my favorite Holiday moments this year at my home was watching the holiday TV special (with my 4 year old) on how the White House decorates and celebrates the Holidays. There were some scenes of all the trees and my 4 yo says “Whoa, it sure is going to be a lot of work to put presents under all those trees.” His consideration for the effort required made me melt.
As Mom myself i enjoy your instagram posts, snapchat stories. They have been inspiring, full of laughter and joy. I admire your family dearly. Wishing you a Happy Holidays filled with love, peace and joy.
Love it! You are actually genius with the box idea, might have to steal that when I try and get my daughter on video!
My favorite part of Christmas was having my cousin home with her family. Our girls are 3 weeks apart and played together beautifully. With 3 year olds you just never know what to expect, so I’m thrilled my daughter played nice! The funniest part was watching them pull their yo-yo’s around like dogs (are yo-yo’s back in?), and my mom telling them that there is such a thing as “walking the dog trick.” Our kids are amazingly talented ?
My inlaws packed a 3 month size onesie for my 3 week old inside the box for my 2.5 year old by accident. The 2.5 year old saw it and said “oh Santa. That’s too small” ?
My three year old son asked Santa for a racetrack. The look on his face when he woke up and saw it under the tree was the BEST, and he’s played with it nonstop!
My favorite Christmas song is Mary Did You Know.
My daughter tried to eat the Ice Cream Sundae shop play doh!
Ok so my favorite/funniest moment so far is from thanksgiving actually-we dropped the turkey. Like a movie-the rack was pulled out of the oven enough to turn the turkey and it ended up just sliding out-onto the floor. Grease everywhere! I watched it happen inches away knowing I could not catch a hot turkey so screaming ensued….then lots of laughing. Best tasting turkey yet!
She is adorable! We enjoyed our traditional movie and Chinese dinner for Christmas.
On Christmas morning, we played Bean Boozled and my husband got every bad flavor. It was hilarious.
Our family does a white elephant type exchange. Most gifts are alcohol or artsy but there are always a couple gag gifts. This year that was a “squatty potty”. Everyone thought it was hilarious, but the nurse in the room was genuinely excited about it and stole it to everyone’s surprise when it was her turn.
My funny holiday moment was my entire family ages 15 to 86 playing cards against humanity together! It was as uncomfortable and hilarious as it sounds 🙂
My favorite moment was as we were sitting in church service, our almost 2 year old says out loud “let’s go home now. Yeah let’s go”. She said this just as the songs/hymns were finished and the church was silent so everyone sitting immediately close to us heard her and laughed.
My 4 year old was just soo cute, she would open her gifts and say things like Santa really did a great job, all of my gifts turned out great, this is wonderful. She was so excited, but I have been really trying to work on being grateful and she seemed genuinely happy and appreciative for every thing she got. She’s also a quarter Jewish and this was the first time she really was exposed to hannakah
The fake phone calls I have with my 3-year-old on her new “princess phone” are pretty darn funny!
My favorite moment has been seeing my almost 2 yr old with her new baby doll she got for xmas. She is constantly going around wanting everyone to kiss the baby!
Love it! She is really getting into it.
Apparently I forgot to write my favorite/funny thing this holiday season. We decided that instead of presents we would take a trip as a family. We went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure so we could go to Harry Potter World. We had a blast.
We went to the library for a Christmas story time. Santa came out at the end and my 4 year old started yelling, That’s not the real Santa!!!
Funniest moment was watching my 3 yr old dump his stocking, pick up a piece of chocolate, ask me to unwrap it – then pop the candy into his unsuspecting Aunt’s open mouth!
We are catholic and my 3yo in the bathtub put a washcloth over her cup and told me she was Father Cook and she had Christ in the magic cup. Not exactly Christmas related but religious and realized she might be paying more attention in mass than we thought!
My favorite part of was hearing my 3 year old daughter say after opening each gift, “Santa knew I always wanted this!!!!” Her excitement and joy for each gift was so cute.
My favorite moment was Christmas Eve. The entire evening was absolutely perfect, it’s my favorite day of the year!
Thank you for letting us into your life, I love Mazzy and Harlow en Mike and you! 🙂
The funniest part of our holiday was watching my mom’s dogs try to open their presentsite. One figured it out. The other, not so much.
My funniest favorite moment of the holidays so far has been when my almost 4 year old nephew believed that a singing elf hat would tell if you were on the good list by turning on and singing. His reaction was priceless! I got your book, bag, and mug from my sister in law and I cant wait to read it!!
Hilarious Harlow is an understatement!! I love her nasal toddler voice. I hope she stays this cute forever.
I was in the ice cream store with my toddler when she got up in her high chair and sang a song I didn’t even know she knew how to sing! It was adorable!
My favourite part about this Christmas was a Secret Santa who left a bunch of gifts of our doorstep. I still have no idea who it was! There were awesomen gifts for everyone in my family. It really lifted my spirit because my husband is not big on Christmas and was abut grumpy this Christmas season. After seeing someone’s generousity even he couldn’t help but be a bit happier!
Jingle Bells!
My favorite and funniest memory from this Christmas was when my 21 year old brother gave my 3 year old daughter a wrapped apple for Christmas. He saw this vine of it and wanted to do it. She was confused at 1st but was thankful and said thank you for my apple Uncle Jimmy. It was so cute and funny. Then he gave her her real gift (a basketball net). She played with that apple all day and night with her new kitchen set from her MomMom and PopPop. My child really is thankful for anything lol even an apple ??
My favorite memory was taking my 4 yr old to buy a gift for dad. He was so excited to buy a gift “on his own” and wrap it himself.
I didn’t get a picture but I bought your book for my daughter in law. I was tempted to read it before fitting it, but decided that was tacky so I guess I will need to buy my own now. It was a bit at our family party though since everyone kept flipping through to read different parts.
Harlow has so much chasrima is uncanny. She’s just too cute and clearly has a mind all her own. I love her insta2yearold IG. I find it so witty. Your family (from what I’ve been able to see) is quite awesome. Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy holiday season. I look forward to more quotes and anecdotes from you and Harlow’s dancing, singing and scooters in 2017.
The box is the greatest idea ever!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the annual visit of the firemen. Oh, you haven’t heard of this holiday tradition? Well, gather ’round. Every year your crazy mother manages to light something on fire and the handsome firemen come blaring in, red sleigh and all, to deliver water upon our house. Of course you feed them before they leave. This year it was the stockings, all 21 of them glowing above the mantle……..
The funniest moment so far was at Christmas eve mass. The priest calle all the kids up front for a sermon, so naturally both of mine went up front. Instead of sitting quietly and listening to the message, my 3 year old son went to the top step by the altar and then proceeded to jump off and completely body slam this 6 year old sister. This happened no less than 4 times. Mortifying for me, quiet entertaining for the rest of the attendees. Merry Christmas!
My favorite moment so far has been my daughters expression when she saw her present from Santa. All she wanted this year was a new fishing pole and she got it. She was super excited!
My favorite part of the holidays is watching my 2 year old daughter dismantle my tree. She likes to take the ornaments and line them up. It is so cute.
Favorite part of Christmas was my one year old taking the longest nap of her life! She was exhausted from all the excitement and slept for 3 hours straight ?
My 3 year old was FINALLY interested in Christmas and decided he was not going to wait in line for his turn to open gifts and I got some great pictures for him sneaking to see what was in the next gift and us asking him if he was peeking and him saying “nope” as he is slowly riping it open and has his face as close as possible to the gift!!!! Lol next year we predict he will not even wait till Christmas to try and sneak the gifts!!!!!
My favorite part of this holiday season was my little boy getting way too excited about playing out in the snow, which is something he refused to do the last two years.
My heart smiled every time my (4yo) daughter would comment so lovingly/earnestly on my friends’ holiday card photos of their kids with exclamations of how they were “really growing up” and “getting soooo big.”
My funniest moment was watching the disappointment on the kids faces when they open boxes of clothes.
Love Harlow’s videos and mazzys too. Happy holidays to you and your adorable family!
Happy holidays!
My 2 year old son and I went shopping for my husband. That night, Daddy asked him about his day. Our little guy said, “We bought shoes.” No secrets in our house!
Hands down, the best part of the holiday was my daughter telling me she is expecting a baby girl the first week in July. I’m going to be a grandma!
My favorite moment this Christmas is when my sister realized her family had bought her a new flat screen TV. She could hardly believe it. It was well deserved too. She does so much for them during the year.
Making cut sugar cookies and decorating them with the kids. It’s something I did with my Mom every year growing up and I’ve continued the tradition with my kids who are 6 and 4.
Christmas morning with my son and husband!!
My favorite part was my 3 year old opening a gift screaming “I got a box!!!” There were 24 cans of play doh in the box but she was genuinely thrilled about the box. Maybe next year she will just get boxes.
My favorite holiday memory would have to be my Nieces getting princess dresses and proceeding to make rules that princesses have to follow like “don’t run” and “be afraid of bears”
My favorite moment was having my 6 yr old ask for a dollhouse for the third year in a row. That’s all that she wanted and so of course we caved and 3 hours later we got it set up!!
My favorite holiday moment is when my 4 year old daughter told me she liked the $4 book we got her better than all the big gifts from Santa.
Favorite moment – when my 8 yr old opened her gift from her godfather – – a karaoke machine! The look on her face was a mix of surprise, joy and amazement…the kind of response you always want! We even got a squeal!
That’s genius! Ha!
The holidays. Whew. Glad they are winding down. I think the funniest moment this year has to be what Mommom put at the top of the tree. She put a handheld mirror at the top so when you look at it, you see yourself and YOUR the star on the tree! She’s pretty special and I love her! Happy Holidays everyone
My favorite moment this Christmas was when Santa brought Elena of Avalor shoes to my 2 year old boy and daddy was very surprised and not happy with Santa (oops!) but my 2 year old was thrilled! He loves his “Nayna” shoes!
My favorite moment: the joy my son has from getting a fish for a present. Pure love.
This post for the swag bag? Okay!
Best part of of the holidays is scoring big with the kiddo on a gift. The Little Tykes basketball goal is ACES with him!
❤????
My favorite part was when my husband explained the meaning behind the gift he gave me. It was super sweet and sentimental.
A close second would be the 4 yr old singing Christmas carols, because it’s adorable.
The holidays. Whew. Glad they are winding down. I think the funniest moment this year has to be what Mommom put at the top of the tree. She put a handheld mirror at the top so when you look at it, you see yourself and YOUR the star on the tree! She’s pretty special and I love her! Happy Holidays everyone!!
Too cute! Glad you found a solution!
I have been seranaded with Christmas music this whole month. And now I’m worried of what my girls may do when they realize the radio has stopped playing their favorite tunes haha
My funniest moment so far this holiday has been when one of my friends reminded me how much my oldest kid looks like Ralphie from the movie A Christmas Story.
My 3-year old was so excited for Hanukkah this year and was really looking forward to it. He said, “Mommy, Hanukkah is my favorite holiday. And guess what? It comes again next year!” ?
Taking the kids thrift winter wonderland to look at Christmas lights and my daughter pretending to drive us! She’s got quite the road rage with traffic jams haha
The funniest part of Christmas this year was when we went out to put reindeer food out in the front yard and my husband was trying to be funny by pretending to be a reindeer eating it and he stepped in our neighbors dog poop! I cried I was laughing so hard and so was my daughter!
The Xmas Eve service at the packed church began with a lovely orchestral prelude. When they finished, and the church was quiet, my 19 month old shouted “yay!” and clapped his hands enthusiastically. Fortunately we’re a pretty laid-back congregation and everyone laughed.
My favorite moment was when my kids and their two older cousins were all curled up in the couch watching frozen.
My favorite moment so far is when my 6-yeaar-old threw herself on the floor and cried last night, the second night of Chanukah, because she hasn’t gotten enough toys.
This is adorable! My favorite part of Christmas this year was that my daughter asked santa to lose her first tooth for Christmas, and she did!
Favorite funny story, my son got a drone for Christmas and he told me that since I had bought it I could try it first, so I did…..accidentally flew it into a wall and now it doesn’t work. Mom fail.
My 3 yr old who doesn’t celebrate Christmasesd very curious about Santa. She asked a million questions about the whole thing. Then one day, in the car, she announced Santa passed away! I have been and I were flabbergasted until we realized that she meant we had passed the big Santa decoration on our block and she missed it.
So cute
Great job! Best holiday moment – my 5yo sitting at the table re-doing some gel-a-peel bracelets and tells me “Let’s hope these don’t turn out a fail like those guys,” and points to a pile of gunk ?
The funniest part of this Christmas season has been my 3 year old dealing with her eight month old sister being around. It hasn’t always gone smoothly. Like when the baby tried to climb up on one of the new toys Santa brought her big sister. Baby girl ended up on the floor with the three year old sweetly saying, “oh no, you fell down.” The sibling rivalry has officially started.
Hahaha my little one loves boxes!
The funniest part of our holiday was my toddler wearing her new tutu, 3 hair bows and about 10 necklaces with her Christmas jammies. But the little fashionista would cry and dramatically cover her face everytime I got the camera out.
Deck the Halls and Jingle Bells seem to my girls favorite songs this year. It’s amazing the things we figure out to manage kids ,lol, the standing in a box is a good one.
My favorite moment from this holiday season was the 4 year old singing Last Christmas: “Last Christmas, I gave you my heart (gave you my heart). The really next day, you gave it away (gave it away). Next year, me-va tear, I give it to someone special.”
Harlow is my favorite little ham!
Funniest moment from the holiday season so far? My little one saying “I’m gonna go jump now” after every present cause she was so excited to go back and jump on her new trampoline 🙂
My favourite part of this holiday was watching my 8 month old daughter enjoy her very first Christmas with my family. From opening presents to spending time with grandparents and her many aunts and uncles to her many gap toothed smiles…it really brought the magic and joy of Christmas back to me!
I love Harlow ?
When my 2 year old loved her santa gift more than any of the presents I get the credit for. And she just packed up and left all her other presents wrapped under the tree.
My favorite part of the holiday is sitting on the couch with a MUG of coffee watching the lion guard and not ushering kids out the door with my to-go cup of coffee. Being present!
My funniest moment (and yet most
sad in a way) was when my 3 year old argued with me that it wasn’t Christmas yet because “where is all the snow?” It was 70* yesterday. It is never that warm where we live on Christmas. Poor girl. She was so confused.
I had to work Christmas Eve into the morning. Unfortunately, at the same time my kids were waking up and ready to open presents, I was having a very difficult conversation with a sick patient. Right after the conversation, I got a text from my husband with a video of my kids loving their presents from santa and wishing my a merry Christmas. It made me cry, I was missing out but they were so happy it made me happy at the same time.
So adorable! My daughter enjoyed watching this video and def sang along.
This holiday season we will laugh be able to laugh about in a few years, but I found lice in my daughter’s (3 yrs) hair right as we were about to leave for my in laws, which is 8 hrs away. As I’m trying to not freak out, my 1 year old son is playing in the fireplace and was covered in ashes. Just a few days before all of this, we were hit by the the flu. It delayed our trip, but we still made it just in time for Christmas.
My favorite part of the holiday was my cat wishing she was a present. She sat amoung the presents hoping someone would give her the attention that each gift received.
Harlow and my daughter should star in a duet!
Harlow! We love you! Thanks for being you! Our favorite funny thing that has happened this holiday season is (earmuffs Harlow) our six year old figuring out mommy is Santa…and the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny! The laughter and the look on her face was priceless.
My kids were very funny opening gifts the already had and announcing it right away ?
