Harlow loves putting on a show. The only problem? Every time I try to get her performances on video, she starts running around the house while she’s singing and the video ends up looking like something that might give viewers a seizure.
My solution?
Place her in a box.
Here’s Harlow singing “Jingle Bells” while standing in a box, using her Micro Kickboard as a microphone. The kickboard is on wheels, which makes it even better.
Merry Christmas in June!

My daughter is 21 months old and has not stopped singing and dancing to Christmas carols. I bust up laughing to her booty shaking every time.
I’m actually Muslim, so I don’t celebrate Christmas – we believe in Jesus, but we don’t believe he is the son of God. We believe he is just one of the messengers, because in Islam we believe that God is All-Powerful and All-Knowing and has no partners whatsoever. My favorite part about the holidays is everything, though! I love the good cheer and seeing everyone in good moods and holiday music and seasonal events and lights around the city and decorations everywhere.
This video was refreshing to revisit! … Love your blog!
When my nephew had a peanut butter sandwich and goldfish instead of Christmas dinner and no one complained lol
The funniest part about this holiday so far has been my 2 yr old daughter excited about opening her presents, she would chant “open the prensents! Open the presents!” Even while we brought grocery bags into the house, i would wrap an old toy and give it to her and she would get excited sbout it and play with it for hours after
My son is still singing “trick or treat,
Smell my feet!” Oh boys. They are definitely different that little girls haha
This is our first Christmas as parents, and while I know our 5 month old had no clue what was going on, seeing him intrigued by the lights, tree, and wrapping paper was amazing. My husband and I don’t have family around, so It makes me so excited for each Christmas we have to come.
Harlow is adorable! My favorite/ funniest moment was watching my 1.5 year old run around the house with light necklaces meant for the dogs. The best part was that he barked the whole time!
The funniest part so far was right before Christmas, about two nights before, I was wrapping presents late at night downstairs when suddenly ALL THREE kids show up downstairs! “What are you doing, Mom!???” So I had to quickly come up with a backstory about how these were presents for grandma and grandpa….!!!!
My favorite moment from this holiday season has been getting to watch my 3-year old as excitement and realization kicks in about Santa Clause. And the funniest moment(s) have been listening to her interpretations of the words of holiday songs.
Favorite holiday moment… baking cookies for the first time with my baby girl! ?
She’s so funny. Love watching your snaps!
My kids are showing true appectiation for all of the work that it takes to make the holidays special and memorable for them! That and 5 adults getting whupped at memory by the kids
Favorite moment…when my almost 4 year saw her new bike from Santa. Blew her little mind!
Watching my 3 year old pose like a male model in front of the Christmas tree…
Fave moment of the holidays is every time we light our Hanukkah candles my 2 year old son sings happy birthday at the top of his lungs 🙂
We’re in a hotel for the holidays, the fire alarm went off at 1:30 am so we climbed down 19 floors in our pajamas only to find out it was indeed a false alarm! There is a church group at our hotel and they were all in fancy ball gowns and then there’s our family… in emoji pajamas… we were defiantly the best dressed 🙂 thanks for sharing M&H with us… they bring my family so much joy!
My fave part of this holiday was taking my two year old for a drive every night to see all the Christmas lights on the houses. We would point and yell “lights” at every house we saw.
My favorite part of Christmas was that my sons favorite present was an old jack in the box that his great grandmother snatched off a shelf in her house to give to him. And the toys we bought him for Christmas were a bust !
This box idea is genius!
I posted a picture of my two-year-old daughter being SO DONE with Christmas. Everyone thinks it’s from the end of the day, but I took it before 9 am. ???
That is genius and adorable!
Favorite moment from this Christmas was having all our family celebrate in our new home this year!
My favourite moment happened Christmas Eve morning. My son was explaining to his younger sister about how Santa would be visiting that night, basically quoting me word for word the story I told him not 20 min prior. Lol!
My favorite part of this season was my son stating he wanted everything for Christmas…except a job!
My favorite time this holiday was Christmas Day. My daughter didn’t want to open her presents so we had a nice slow day. We took our time with breakfast and my husband and I opened our gifts. As the day went on C opened all of her gifts and played with each one.
Cute! Jingle bells is the song the men in my family sing as a lullaby!
My almost three year old got a batman toy (action figure?) for Christmas and the first thing he did with it was spin the head all the way around. ?
When the dog ate one of my son’s presents!! Luckily it wasn’t toxic.
My 4 yo loves singing too! She honestly believes she is a member of the Pentatonix (just ask her?). She will put on a performance every time she hears they’re songs. Complete with choreography!
She is too cute!
Awww, to still have the sense of wonder and be without self consciousness like little Harlow.
So many favorite moments this year…my husband and I were talking how this year will be the one remember and always smile. Our kids are 4 and 1 and our daughter (4) was so into Christmas this year. Christmas morning she was so excited to see if Santa drank the milk and ate the cookies she didn’t even notice the presents for a minute. I will always love and remember how she kept saying Merry Christmas Eve and saying how excited she was that it was Christmas Eve on Christmas. Such a magical year!!
My favorite moment was spending Christmas with our family & celebrating our 8-month olds first Christmas along with her 4-month old cousin! It’s amazing how much can change in a year!
I am a mom of two girls- Audrey (4) and Charlotte (1) and they love for “Maz and Harlow” snaps in morning! They ask for it every day! Thanks for brightening our days with the snaps, IG snaps and videos on your blog! ?
I loved last night, on our way home from our third Christmas celebration, hearing my four year old talking with my 1 year old. It makes me so happy that they get along and love each other so much! And I love that bag!! ?
My brother and I always exchange gag gifts with each other and this year he gave me smiling poop emoji slippers. My 4 year old loves them and keeps wanting to wear my poops. I love this time of the year because my entire family (3 siblings and their spouses plus my parents) comes in town and stays with us. We have blended our family traditions and now it’s a lot of fun.
My 3 year old started singing Christmas songs all the time this holiday season, and it was always a surprise learning that she even knew them. Thanks preschool!
My favorite memory this Chistmas is watching my son and his aunt have fun chasing each other around the park with Nerf guns.
My favorite moment from this Christmas was when my father in law got emotional during our dinner toast. He’s not always an emotional guy so it was special.
She is just darling! This made my day! 🙂
My favorite part of the holiday is Christmas Eve. We have a giant sleepover at my mother-in-laws every year. All the cousins play and everyone eats too much and we wear Christmas PJs and watch movies… It’s wonderful to spend time with everyone.
I loved watching my kids open their gifts. The ooos and ahhhs were the best. The holidays through the eyes of a child are a beautiful thing.
Favorite time of the holiday is seeing all the siblings and cousins spend time together exchanging gifts! Love seeing all the happy and ecstatic faces!
My favorite part was gathering with the family at my mother’s boyfriend’s parents’ house (yes, I know, strange place for all of our immediate and extended family to gather but surprisingly fun). As we were eating, my husband knocked over his drink and spilled it all over table and floor. Then, ten minutes or so later, I’m watching my 3 year old holding hands dancing with a little girl there. As I’m watching, I suddenly hear “Paula (me), please help me!” I look back to see my husband holding our 4 month old and trying to balance a tall, wide, and heavy flower pot that was up on a stand so it doesn’t fall. He somehow managed to bump it and it was on the verge of crashing and breaking. I looked at his face: bright red and sweating bullets. I couldn’t stop laughing. Note: I quickly helped my normally not-so-klutzy husband after I shed a tear laughing. Good times.
Late night present wrapping sessions with my husband
My fav moment? When my 2 year old actuallylly let my 1 year old hold her paw patrol figurine. Obviously she shrieked and took it back once she realized what she’s done, but I’m still counting it as my kind-of Christmas miracle 😉
One of the best parts of my Christmas when I got on the sleds behind the 4 wheeler with the kids and couldn’t stop laughing. The kiddo I was sitting with was borderline annoyed with my hysterics. When the kids got cold and tired, the adults took over the sleds and kept playing way past dark.
My favorite holiday moment was watching my kids get excited about buying gifts for each other!
Funniest part this year was my 4 year old whispering sweetly one morning, very quietly, when it was just her and I, that Daddy got me a ring with hers and her sister’ names on it. It was so innocent and funny! I had to pretend I had NO IDEA what was coming.
As you know, having little kids make the holidays even more magical. My favorite part so far has been watching my daughter’s excitement grow with each new gift that went under our tree. She could tell when a new gift appeared with her crazy good memory and would stare at it in wide-eyed wonder. It made me so excited for yesterday morning, I could hardly wait for her to open all her gifts!!!
The funniest moment would likely be my 3 year olds inability to not tell people what he got them for Christmas, as well as his gift choices. He couldn’t help blurting out what he had gotten me and his Daddy, but I will say I am now the proud owner of a brand new red mustang RC car!
My chatterbox son being absolutely speechless at the sight of the new play kitchen Santa brought him Christmas morning ❤️❤️❤️
Swag bag looks amazing. Great way to cap off Christmas.
My girls are the same age so it’s fun to see how they are alike and different at the same time! Happy Holidays! ???
What a holiday season it’s been! My favorite moments have included seeing my daughter share all of her excitement about Christmas and Hanukkah with her baby brother (who at 4 mo has no clue what the heck the big deal is). One personal funny moment for me: I got a little too enthusiastic while using my new vacuum and accidentally sucked some of the decorations off of the gingerbread house. Whoops!
The best part of Christmas was seeing my four year olds excitement!
Seeing my daughter love her dollar store stocking stuffer more than the Barbie she asked for!
One of my favorite moments was watching my girls giddy with laughter making cookies with grandma
Little kids are so hard to keep still! If you add a camera to the mix, it’s nearly impossible! I FINALLY got a copy of your book as a Christmas present, and I can’t wait to start reading!
My favorite memory from this Christmas was seeing my family so excited to spend time together! This year was incredibly rough because we lost several family members, but we have grown even closer as a family this year. I can only hope 2017 will be easier on all of us.
Harlow is too damn cute! It looks like y’all are having a fabulous holiday season!
Between she following the moving kickboard with her eyes to her run on the word “sleigh” this video is top knotch!
My favorite moment has been watching my 2 year old this Christmas season. The joy on his face when he sees Christmas lights or Santa Claus. He has my heart!
My favorite parts of the holidays so far have been watching my 2 older girls conquer skiing with ease and watching my 3 year old get over her fear of dogs while hanging with my in-laws’ pup! Merry Chrismukkah and happy new year!
Best moment from this year was my kids’ excitement watching Santa drive by on the fire truck on Christmas Eve. It was magical.
the funniest thing so far this season has been the family nerf battle. santa brought everyone [including mom and dad] nerf blasters and an all out battle ensued.
Our Christmas tree is in our rotunda area that our stairs wrap around. On Christmas morning my daughter was hardcore looking over the railing and then she yelled, I’m not peeking!
My 3 year old crying when she got her Minnie Mouse bike.
Favorite moment, surprised my daughter with an LOL doll (she’s obsessed with the youtube unpackaging videos). She must have thanked me 20 times 🙂
Oh my goodness, this is amazing!
Love the video! So cute, Harlow. We traveled from outside the States to visit family this Christmas and the funniest part was seeing my daughters’ expressions when they saw our elf make an appearance on grandma’s shelf in India.
With all of the new presents to play with, my twins just wanted to eat the wrapping paper!
The funniest part of my holiday season so far was on the first night of Hanukkah playing catch phrase with the whole family. Our Bubbie was trying to describe Bacon & she said everything but anything that would possibley describe bacon. It may not sound funny but it was hilarious! Especially when we found out the word was. Love love love laughing with my Famalam!
My favorite moment this year will have to be getting to spend time with my family that lives far away, we don’t see each other often so spending time with them is a real treat!
My favorite part was my 3 and 5 year old losing their minds yesterday morning when they woke up, “SANTA CAME! HE ATE THE COOKIES!”. The best.
So cute!
My favorite moment for my kids was that every gift they opened, even the underwear and socks, was declared the “best ever”! Christmas magic for you!
Your snapchats of the girls crack me up! You go Harlow!
This is adorable !
The funniest part of Christmas this year was my 2 year old daughter showing off her ‘dance moves’ for the whole family.
The funniest moment was my son coming down the stairs and saying that Santa did leave him presents. He was genuinely surprised after some of his behavior.
Favourite moment is having family collect all together.. sister in laws flew in from Europe!
Love! My favorite holiday moment so far was my 2 year d daughter fighting with my nearly 2 year old nephew over the broom. They have never shown interest in sweeping before… fingers crossed it will last!
My favorite part of the holiday season has been spending Christmas morning alone with my 7 month old foster baby… and then dropping him off at grandma’s so I could take a long nap! #singlefostermomlife
The funniest moment we had this year was the night before Chrismas when my husband was telling our 3 year old daughter Dani how magical Santa was and how amazing Christmas Day was going to be. She paused and thought about it, and we were all waiting for her most child like response that would remind us of the true meaning of Christmas and she said, why is your body covered in hair, dad? We don’t know honey, now go to bed.
My 4 year old really wanted a tablet for christmas. Me and my husband got him one but hid it. He did all his presents and thought he was done. Then we acted like we forgot and pulled out his tablet. He unwrapped it and was just staring then jumped up and squeeled and screaming a tablet a tablet! My younger son look terrified! Best moment!
Kids! So much fun and she’s just adorable!
Harlow is the cutest ? I’d love to win the swag bag, good luck to everyone ???
Favorite part of this holiday was coming home to my parents for 9 days. I havent been back in a couple of years so it was nice to be home and spent 9 days with the family and sister.
It’s the middle of the night in Japan, where we are currently stationed. It’s the only me time I get, so thank you for the amazing stories/tips/articles.
That swag bag is calling my name. 🙂
Best of luck to everyone and Konechiwa from naval station Yokosuka, Japan!
My favorite part was our 3 year old daughter deciding (with no room for discussion) that her yet-to-be-born baby brother should be named Jesus just like baby Jesus.
Spending time with family
I love this, she is such a cutie!
My favorite memory this holiday season has been just spending time with my son. He is so busy nowadays he doesn’t have time for ol’ Mom, so any time spent with him – whether we are watching anime, classic movies, or just a silly video on YouTube.
My most memorable moment from this month was going to visit Santa at The Santa House in downtown Belleville, IL. My sister and law and I took both our kids. Once it was our turn to go inside the Santa House, my son throw his hands over his eyes thinking that Santa couldn’t see him. We then tried our hardest to get him to warm up to Santa, but before too long, the people in charge of taking the pictures had asked us if we would let the next people go and then we could try again after them. So while we were waiting again, my son noticed his cousin had a candy cane and wanted one too. So I told him that if he wanted one that he had to ask Santa for one. Then it was our turn again and my son didn’t put his hands over his eyes anymore, but he was still too shy to go up and ask Santa or sit on his lap. So I then said, “Santa and me are good friends and he used to bring me lots of toys when I was a little girl.” Then I gave Santa a big hug and said, “You see, I love Santa.” Then my son came right over and sat on Santa’s lap. Then they went to take the picture and I never have seen a bigger smile from him and they captured it in the picture just on time. You could just see the excitement in the expressions of his face. Then when we were leaving, my son started to cry because he wanted to go back. It just melted my heart….by the way, I would love to hear back about your family’s most memorable Hanukah moment.
By the way I wrote that out twice because the first time I wrote it all, the so called smart phone I have, deleted the whole message, so then I had to start all over. LOL ?
My favorite memory so far is building thrones game of thrones style out of the new Jumbo Locks blocks we got. Complete with crowns and swords
My favorite moment of Christmas? The 5 minutes of quiet time I got while my toddler son was playing with his new toys. After that, he couldn’t care less about the toys. He just wanted to eat more bacon! 🙂
This is so adorable.
My favorite part of Christmas was watching my daughter (almost 3) really enjoy everything this year. Opening presents, singing, decorating cookies, giving others gifts. Oh, and also it’s over! ???
My favorite moment is that my 19 month old son is determined to destroy the Christmas tree which is both annoying and hilarious. I remember the pre-kid days when the tree stayed up into January…it’s coming down today.
