Average Parents have no shortage of problems, which is why my new Instagram account @averageparentproblems is still going strong. Just this week, it was picked up by ABC News, the San Francisco Gate and the Daily Mail!
Perhaps their editors are parents with average problems of their own.
Every day, I think— how can I possibly find another problem? And then Mazzy loses the hair of her Lego girl in the grass, which is devastating (obviously) and puts me in charge of finding it, even though I know there is not a chance in hell. And there it is— my Friday night ruined by your typical average parent problem.

When your kid asks for a banana and you don’t remove the hard part on the end that we in my household now call the “bah-nay-nus”.
I can totally relate to each and every parenting problem listed here. They are all spot on. I have my fair share of parent problems from the very tiniest “I can’t find the headband on my doll” to the “I need to distract her with a gadget just to get a quick chocolate bite all to myself.” I thought I was the only one experiencing these problems. Glad to know that I am definitely not alone.
