I missed the whole American Girl Doll phase growing up. I thought it must have been because my parents deprived me or something but after a quick google search, I realized— Nope. I was just too old.
For all my readers who were still at a socially acceptable age to play with dolls in the late ’80s, I thought you would appreciate Kirsten, Samantha, Kit, Addy and Molly teaming up with guns and explosives to fight the bad guys.
And by bad guys, I mean Barbie.
At least I wasn’t too old to have one (or twenty) of those.

That was awesome! The Kirsten doll was one of the best Xmas presents ever, I think around 1986. I got her out of my parents’ attic last year to give to my daughter.
Wait a tic…is that My Girl? Is the Kristen doll Anna Chlumsky?? KICK ASS.
But where is Felicity!?!? She was an American girl long before Kip…
Love it! I had Molly, and yes, I was a nerd. (Still am, proudly.) The Dora the Explorer Action Movie is still the best of that sort of thing though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnpTcrtsN3U
