Once upon a time, I made a web series called The Mommy Show where famous people came to my home and I subjected them to quality time spent with my kids. I file this series under “Did that really happen???” Yes, it did. I have video evidence.
One of my favorite episodes of the show was the one wtih Jim Gaffigan. Jim was an awesome guest and since then we’ve become great friends and our families hang out on the weekends.
No, I’m kidding. That’s just like a parenting fantasy of mine.
But I do get to welcome Jim into my life every Wednesday night because he’s got a brand new show called The Jim Gaffigan Show which would have come out sooner except they spent so much time focus grouping the name. It’s about Jim’s real life of balancing his comedy act and his family— he’s got five kids, you know.
The second episode airs tonight 10/9c on TV Land and again on Thurs 8/7c on Comedy Central. You can catch the first episode here. I just watched it and it’s hilarious, as anything combining phallic preschool art, a Macaulay Culkin cameo and Paw Patrol references should be.
You can also watch the time Jim glued a popsicle peacock to my dining room table below.
Those were the days.
