Sometimes children are so much wiser than adults. Six-year-old Tiana, whose parents are going through a divorce, gave her mom a lecture on why it’s important for her to stop fighting with her dad because “if I can be nice, I think all of us can be nice too.”
She also teaches her mom how to “settle her mean heights down” which I think is an important lesson for all of us.
As a child whose parents divorced when I was ten, I cannot even imagine summoning up the maturity to ask my parents to just get along. I was too busy fantasizing about them getting back together. (It never happened.)
Tiana, I think you are going to come out of this more than okay.
Aww, what a cutie. I’m surprised she didn’t say, “Mom, put down that camera and LISTEN to me!”
Ah, I just saw the mom’s Facebook page….sounds like the girl’s parents were just fighting over a fallen shoe rack. Still, wise little gal to express so well what we all need to hear.
This little precious girl is wise beyond her years… Sounds like her parent’s are doing something right. I think they should take their daughter’s advice and settle down. Their daughter is a smart little cookie!
The world needs to hear her! <3
Wow what a sweetheart! We could all really use this advice!
Oh man, this made me cry. She’s trying so hard. Because we all know the end of this story. 🙁
