Halloween was Saturday (as you are well aware) and I must say, it’s a lot easier when it’s on a school day. We had to come up with activities for the entire day and then explain why the ones at 10am didn’t involve candy.
Or why they did involve candy, but they couldn’t eat the candy until later.
I know Halloween is over and the internet has moved on, but parents (who have been immersed in the holiday all weekend) are just starting to post their Average Parent Problems.
Of which there were many. Obviously.
Which makes me feel much better that our Halloween wasn’t fun 100% of time.

LOL! My daughter tried to wear her Maleficent costume today “just for a little bit”. I knew if I put it on her she would never change for school. I told her it was in the dirty laundry pile.
The “when your kids think you’re a trash can” one is so true! Everyday, not just halloween…
To add to your list – not being able to find a key part of your kid’s outfit! We had our outfits together for Baltimore Comic Con last month and hoped to wear them again for Halloween. But when we went to find my son’s ears for his Rocket Raccoon costume, they were nowhere to be found! Considering we searched the house and car, I do wonder if they are somewhere in the Baltimore Convention Center.
