After the success of the Cookie Challenge, Mazzy and Harlow were itching to film another one.

“Can we do the BeanBoozled challenge, Mom????”

I googled it because I had no idea what they were talking about. Apparently, it’s a game where there are two flavors for each color of jellybean— one delicious flavor and one disgusting flavor. Players face off to see who gets the short end of the stick.

Mazzy hounded me for two solid weeks before I finally ordered BeanBoozled on Amazon. Then she hounded me for another few days while she waited very impatiently for it to arrive in the mail.

I don’t think Harlow really knew what she was in for. She kept saying she had the same thing as Mazzy regardless of what she got, until she got a REALLY BAD ONE and couldn’t stop wiping her tongue with a napkin. My favorite moment is when Mazzy happily exclaims, “I got juicy pear!!!” And then Harlow, with a far off look in her eye says flatly, “I GOT SOMETHING ELSE.”

FYI, if you are a parent who can watch without participating— THIS IS A GOOD TIME.

This is also a really fun thing to feed unsuspecting friends when they come over. Except when they turn the tables on you. The one jelly bean I ate in the whole pack turned out to be vomit flavor.

I genuinely wanted to vomit and I can still taste that awfulness in my mouth.
