I originally planned on posting Vlog #5 last Friday but my laptop died on the flight to Paris (apparently, outlets on International Delta flights are just there for show) and then I didn’t have a single free second to work on it again while we were there. So, this may be a week late… but it’s a good one!
Mazzy and I sleep over at the American Museum of Natural History, Poppy is forced to take the Beanboozled Challenge and Harlow shows us that it’s possible for the game of War to be the most fun you’ve ever had in your life. Think that’s an over promise? I STAND BY IT.
Try not to lose your shit while you watch Harlow on a roll.

I’d love to see a post about teaching your kids how to do chores and become independent without driving you batty. 🙂

We did______to scare off our baby sitter… Would love to hear adventures in babysitting tales.
Ugh. Any tips for putting a stop to hair chewing?
Anyway, I’d love ideas for emerging reader books that are awesome and that are not by Mo Willems. My daughter just finished kindergarten and, while she can surprise us by randomly reading signs and menus, she gets frustrated with reading actual books. And a lot of the “new” or “early” reader books are still a bit beyond her.
“Who Has Time to Bathe the Kids?” How to juggle working full time (with the accompanying commute), making dinner, bathing the kids, and getting them to bed at a decent time – let alone doing laundry or taking a shower.
Blog post I need? “Skincare, makeup, and how how I get ready in 10 mins”. I promise lots of shares if it teaches me to at least appear like a functioning human with the 10 mins I can scrape together in the morning :).
I just like watching Mazzy dance.😂
I meant Harlow! Time for bed!
I’d love to see a summer bucket list – now that the girls are older what you are tackling for the summer as the school year ends – high hopes for the summer!

I’d love a post on ten mistakes I’ve made as a parent (and ten mistakes I haven’t made yet)! 🙂
I think you should write a book called “Mommy Shorts guide to NYC” or “Mazzy and Harlow’s guide to NYC” You guys seem to find the most unique and kid friendly things to do!

Top 10 tips on raising 2 kids
How i accepted my kids were actually going to grow up.
a blog about The worst part of being a content creator using my children as the main subjects. I mean that in a good way I always wonder when the mommys I see online on IG SC and FB who I follow because i find their cute little kids adventures great I also wonder how do you stop what you are doing in order to have them pose for a picture because I try and it really breaks our flow and hubby HATES when I try and document things for us and our SM channel. I want these moments to look back on and to show our family who live far from us and make it “real time” as if they were there but balancing that with what we are doing to try and capture that moment, am i exposing them to too much outside of family and allowing too much visibility. I only post what I feel I am conformable with but i sometimes struggle since hubby isnt always on board with my documentation……
I’d like to know what you do for fun when you have free time! Or how you go about planning successful family vacations! You seem so organized and put together! I love it. Also, how do you tackle appointments and/or grocery shopping with more than one kid. I have three and it’s always exhausting!
School lunch ideas!
I would like to see a post about Mazzy’s day from her eyes. We always see your day on snapchat and instagram (I love that!) but i think it would be cool to see what she does and what she thinks about the day.
Mazzy and Harlows favorite things! ♡♡♡
How about a post about teaching children to be open and understanding of other cultures/religions/background etc? I’m currently trying to teach my daughter that different doesn’t always mean wrong.

A post on great ways (and books) kids can help take care of the earth.
Along the lines of giving a camera to kids…like in Paris. My 4 year old loves to take pictures with my phone but we haven’t tried a real camera yet. I’d love to see a post with older kids and kind of their point of view of summer but from behind a camera. So maybe kids photos at the beach, zoo, amusement park, aquarium or other summer outings.

I’d love to see a post on fun and unique things to do/places to see with kids in NYC, by season. I’d love to plan a trip within the next year and don’t want to limit ourselves to the usual sites.
I would love a post about “surviving kindergarten – from first day to last day”.

Top ten things you miss most about your pre-kid life.
I’d love to hear some of your favorite books 🙂 Being that you wrote a great one yourself!
1. Bucket List for little girls,
2. List of what every girl in this era needs (i.e. Neverless she persisted tee or Ada Twist Scientist book),
3. LOVE the idea that was suggested about your girls NYC Recommendations! I know there are a lot of NYC books but not as many strictly for kids and even less written by super cool, down to earth, kids who love a good playground or carousel
“How to take small children to a museum”. We love going to museums and want our kids to love it too. Any tips for keeping their attention span and teaching them museum etiquette while still having fun?

Also I LOVE @insta2yearold on Instagram especially when she gets political so more of that would be totally welcome in my book.
I would love to see a day from the point of view of Mazzy and Harlow – Mazzy can take pictures and videos of the day as she sees it. Harlow could too, or you could put a go-pro on them, and really see it from their eyes 🙂

I’d love to read a post about any tricks or tips to juggle the different interest/needs of two kids when your on a solo outing.
Seven things I’ve learned about life while doing the laundry. Seven because who said it has to be 5 or 10? No one, and if they did…..well they don’t own you! You do you. And doing the laundry, because let’s face it…between a husband and two kids there is NO telling what you will find. One of your seven things could even be: never under any circumstances, stick your hand in a pocket that is either wet or giving off a strange odor.
Now if you wanted to do a serious post, what about one that says “Things Trump Could Learn From My Mom.” Not only would she have great advice because hey….she’s your mom. But the immigrant and Holocaust aspect could be enlightening. Let’s be honest….he’s a narrow minded fool who needs some good sense knocked into him.
I would love to see an article on how you manage to make time for yourself. We hear all the time that mom’s need to take care of themselves. But that is so hard with work and kids. I struggle with this and rarely (maybe every six months) make time for myself.
top ways sisters survive without torturing each other daily. My girls are almost exactly the same age as yours and it seems I’m daily trying to find ways aye for them to get along when they are at different developmental stages.
10 Summer Sanity Ideas. Now that the kids are home all day!
Oh! What about The Truth About Being An “Asshole Parent” and surviving this thing called life.
All the suggestions so far are fantastic, I think you can plan your next year’s worth of blog posts! I love when you host funny photo submission contests, how about something summer-themed like “Summer Struggles” which could include anything from dropped ice cream, hating your sunglasses, swimsuits that keep getting tangled, etc.
I’d like to see a post about teaching diversity and inclusiveness to the next generation. Are there initiatives their schools are doing that you continue/discuss at home, and/or how do you address M & H’s questions when you are out in public? (For example, have they ever asked an embarrassing question out loud when seeing a person with a visible disability/mobility device, someone dressed in traditional clothing from another culture, etc.? How did you handle it? Or if it has never come up, why do you think that is?) I ask because I have seen some truly cringe-worthy moments/videos from other mom bloggers that are perpetuating ableism/racism, but you never have, so I’d like to know how those discussions go in your house.
Oh my goodness – my fingers are clumsy! I’m Toni sNark, not “Smark”. SMH!
I would love a post with meal ideas for dinner and how to get your kids to try them. Our family is in such a food rut right now, my kids will only eat cheese, grains, and all derivatives of those two items (mac n cheese, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, ravioli, cheese pizza, etc). My only consolation is that they will eat broccoli.
Another item I’m battling is dealing with jealousy/competition between siblings. It sounds like you might not have that issue, but maybe you might be able to get a guest expert to weigh in on it?
How to deal with the guilt of not having a lot of time with your kids. My poor little one is in daycare 10 hours a day and only has one full day a week with both parents at home at the same time.
I’d love to see ideas for making sure each girl gets some 1-1 time with parents. I have two girls as well and want them both to get some time alone with mom and dad.
I would like to see a post on your morning routine a little more thoroughly. We obviously get the waffle, coffee, muffins, bus, school but how do you deal with the time crunch and what is the in between? Also would love to know how you tackle activities and why i dont see mazzy doing much outside of school or gavin? Not that it makes you a bad parent (you seem pretty amazing to me) but i am curious if its her decision or does she do an activity that we dont see on snapchat (like harlow has dance). Maybe also if you brought up math before mazzy went to kindergarten or if that is something super new (they teach basic math in kindergarten) if you did bring it up before can you give tips? Thanks! (Ps i never win anything and my daughter REALLY wants a microkickboard 😂😉😍)
I would love to see a post on how to pass on a healthy body image and view on food. I know you’ve shared in the past that you didn’t always have a balanced outlook on food, etc. and as someone who also struggled I find myself working extra hard to talk about food in (hopefully) healthier ways than good vs. bad. I want my son to learn balance!
“How to raise strong and confident girls”! I love Mazzy and Harlow’s daily adventures, they remind me of my kiddos so much!

I also would love to see clips of what Mazzy and Harlow say to each other and the way they act when they miss each other.
I absolutely love watching your videos of them. After 8 years of trying and 12 years with my son, I had a little girl and watching your girls gives me so much light to what is to come with my little girl. I love them both and I love Maddy! Would love to see more of her! Harlow’a version of way had me peeing in my pants with laughter!
Keep on vlogging! Oh and loved the suggestions on traveling with kids. Perfect!
Love,
Zulma Sternberg
I truly would enjoy your top 10 children books!! Also your take on the good and bad of Mazzy and harlow’s relationship as siblings. I’m due with my second girl and super nervous how my girls are going to get along. Yours seem to be bffs, but I know that probably not always true!
You should write a post about sneaking learning into summer fun! We’re trying to teach our youngest her letters (she somehow never learned them like our oldest) and teaching our oldest to read, but all they want to do is play!
I would love to see some bucket lists! Summer bucket lists, travel bucket lists, NYC bucket lists!!
I’d love to know how you pick places travel with your kids, and how to plan the time you’re there.
There are so many good ideas here already. I’d love to see a dance tutorial by Harlow, maybe how to do the electric slide or Macarena? Which would involve her learning the dance if she doesn’t already know it. Or how about have Mazzy and Harlow dress you for a week and you have to wear whatever clothes, shoes, accessories they pick out of your closet (if a whole week is too hard, give each girl a day to style you).
I’d love to see something about organizing ALL THE TOYS (and maybe all the artwork/crafts that come home from school) in a small apartment space. Your space seems similar to mine and I’d love to know how you keep your living areas clutter free.
I’d love to see a post on how to get your kids to behave in public.
I’d love a post on your top things to see, do in NYC with kids. Best time of the year to go, favorite restaurants, etc. We haven’t gone to NYC with our kids, yet and would love suggestions. 😉

Why having 2 kids is awesome and just the right number particularly in NYC. (For me. Struggling about whether/not to have a third). 🙂
Top things to do on rainy days in small spaces that doesn’t involve technology (other than music to have a dance party).
I would love to see a post about how to relax when your kids aren’t around. It feels like we are always on (or at least trying to be) when my daughter is around and then unexpectedly my parents will offer to take her for the night and my husband and I don’t know what to do with our time.
Maybe something about how to control the amount of toys that accumulate, especially when living in a small space. We live in a two bedroom apartment with two kids. We are always telling people NOT to buy the kids more toys, because we just don’t have anymore room!
