I originally planned on posting Vlog #5 last Friday but my laptop died on the flight to Paris (apparently, outlets on International Delta flights are just there for show) and then I didn’t have a single free second to work on it again while we were there. So, this may be a week late… but it’s a good one!
Mazzy and I sleep over at the American Museum of Natural History, Poppy is forced to take the Beanboozled Challenge and Harlow shows us that it’s possible for the game of War to be the most fun you’ve ever had in your life. Think that’s an over promise? I STAND BY IT.
Try not to lose your shit while you watch Harlow on a roll.

Hi! We are bringing our four year old to New York this summer – staying right by Central Park on the time square side….i would love to see a post about your top things to do with kiddos in New York! Including their favorite playground(s)! (And my apologies if you’ve already done a post like this … I am a newbie!)
Can you write about 3-5 easy ways for the Average Parent to get companies to send us FREE stuff! Like awesome clothes or vitamins or toys or books?? 🙂 Get us in that inner circle!
I’d love to see an update on the redecorated bedrooms r a guide to visiting museums with kids
How to Balance Work, Motherhood, Fitness, Your own interests, oh, and Marriage!
I would love about where you get your clothes as well as the girls. 🙂
Favorite separate (one on one) and together activities with your two girls.

What to do with young kids on a weekend visit to NYC
We love driving distance from NYC and I’d love tips on where to stay and what to do over a two day stay. My kids are 7,5 and 2 🙂
Summer bucket list for the girls!
I’m sure you’ve written about this before but the way your girls treat each other always strikes me. In the best best way. I’m sure off snap and Instagram life is different but they clearly care for each other in a special way. I have 3 girls and my older 2 are in a major fighting phase. Would love to hear if you had any tips or tricks in teaching them to just care for each other.
I would love to see tips on how you function on not a lot of sleep! I require SO much sleep and there are so many times I see you awake really late and up really early and you always look cute and you get things done and don’t take a nap! I’m in awe. Also, comfortable shoes for walking so much. How do you do it without getting blisters??
I’d love to see a blog post about ideas to keep your kids from eating you out of house and home during summer break. Or is that just in my house?…
I would love if you wrote more about how you encourage sibling relationships, especially with Mazzy as the oldest (so anything you did to prepare her…) Also any hair care tips for little girls you have because I’m having my first girl soon and I realize she might need more than I do for my son (I.e. I wash his hair and then do nothing).
The best Mazzy and Harlow moments.
I love watching the girls love each other and share laughs and memories together.
Blog post about how to adjust from one kid to two kids — our second is 10 days old and i’m already worried about how I’m going to get them both ready for day care in the morning, try to get back into a routine at the gym and have a sane life!!
How to take pictures and videos of children on the go while still “being in the moment” with them. Also include your tools of the trade please!

But there are so many great ideas already listed!
I’d love to see a post along the lines of “working out, yay or nay”. Do you like working out? Do you need a ton of dry shampoo to go back to the rest of your day? I’d love to hear! I’m either all in or all out when it comes to working out 😳
I know it’s more about parenting but I would love to read more about marriage– tips for making time for each other or keeping the fire going, even when your children are tiny vandals who are always in your space 😀
I would like be a post on your “Go to snacks loved by both girls” or even on dinner ideas. How do you stay so active with your girls and feed them at home?!
So many blog ideas pop to mind! Some you’ve touched on before but we could also use reminders. Like how you manage evening routines, busy schedules, and toddler fashion independence (i.e. my 4 year old who refuses to wear shorts in 90 degree weather!). Love Mary Clare’s idea about how to control the amount of toys in a small space. A mom can only buy so many toy bins & baskets from Target before it starts getting ridiculous!
I would love to see a summer bucket list, or some of the things you love to do in the city with the kids in the summer! Or if you tried a “yes” day with the kids, like saying yes to some of their crazy ideas.
How about “Ways to keep up with kids lost shoes”, not sure about you, but with a 6 year old and 3 year old that is an everyday struggle here. 😐
You have probably covered this in the past but I would love a post on the best places to go with young kids on a first time trip to NYC. And Mazzy and Harlow should definitely include where to get the best muffins and donuts…for my kids of course.
10 dinners my kids will actually eat! (And how to see/make them a little more healthy)
I’d love to read a post about the ups and downs of raising kids in NY. Commuting to and from school, taking them to restaurants (so brave!!), and explaining that naked cowboy I’ve heard about 😂
I would love to hear a blog about how to handle sibling fighting/ tattling. My 7 year old and 4 year old love each other to bits but I’m sick of the fighting too!
Most hilarious / cringe worthy kid moments in public and how to decide if it is worth being a teaching moment or just to wave the white flag and retreat.

How to calm a tantrum on a plane full of people who now hate your guts. Man, traveling with kids can really suck!
More of a question, than a post topic – at what age do you think your children will start being embarrassed by being so public and do you think you will have to stop or severely cut back on what you post?
I’d love to hear your take on the fidget spinner craze.
I love a post on moving from one child to two. I am due in September and am desperately seeking all advice on how to make my toddler happy, well-adjusted, not too jealous when the new sister arrives.
I love your vlogs, what a great addition. Your trip looked like a lot of fun. I hate traveling in the summer, I simply melt in anything above 80 degrees and get super cranky!
I would love a blog about your typical lazy mornings, an uninstagram worthy morning ritual kinda post. I love that you keep it real about the ups and downs about parenting, but I think it’s important to see the mess as well. I would also love to see a transcript from the Q and As you did with you and Seri on SnapChat!
Maybe include the kids, get your girls to ask her boys some questions.

How about a post about how to declutter your child’s toys without feeling guilty?
I’d like to see a post about how to keep a routine for the school year! My oldest is about to start full day school and I’m terrible with routines. Idk if there’s some secret or I just suck at it but if you have tips to share I’d love to read it. 🙂

I would love how to keep siblings from killing each other on a road trip…. So nervous about ours!
I would really like if you could post something in regards to Potty Training! Top 10 potty seats or the best way to get your child from diapers to big kid underwear! My goddaughter is turning 2 in September and I really need to prepare for this to be a disaster! She is a stubborn little princess and as you know it lightens the baby bag once they are potty trained! I still remember Harlow’s potty dance! Any tips or products you used would be much appreciated!

I’d love for you to do a post about living with kids in NYC. I love visiting, but I can’t wrap my head around living in a small apartment, not having a yard, rarely using a car, the cost of living there, etc. I think you’re a transplant, so I’d love to hear why you chose to raise kids in the city.
Instagram mom vs. real mom. I swear those moms that post their 4 kids dressed to the nines in tutus, dress shirts and made-up hair are wizards or something…
I know it was your example, but I really would like to know your 10 favorite children’s books- we love to read!
Great vlog. Maybe write a blog about recovering from such short “vacations”. I’m impressed that you can take so many long weekend vacations. I feel like they wear me out. Thanks for the great content.

I’m fairly new to your blog, so it may have been covered. I’d love a post or two of ways to get your first born adjusted to interacting with others. She attends a daycare 2 days a week, but otherwise my little is all by her lonesome. Sometimes when she’s around friends’ kids, she just does the million mile stare, or grabs at them like they’re her toys. I’d also love to see something about teaching them about the arrival of a new sibling.
Lastly, what about water safety? We see so much this time of year about tragedies involving water. I’d love to see a real- life mom approach to it all! Keep up the amazing work!
I’d love to see a post from Mazzy and Harlow’s perspective – what we love about Mommy Shorts’ job. They are probably so used to being photographed but I always wonder what they think about that! My kids feel like I am the paparazzi and I only have 270 followers, so I’d love to hear how you do it.
I’d also love to see a post about how to intentionally unplug – maybe 10 ways to have media-free time with kids. That would be so fun to hear about!
I would love to see a post featuring all of the pictures that you take when you are attempting to get the perfect instagram shot. Like an outtakes reel or something like that. And include tips or tricks for filters because you always post the best pics.
Reasons why being a low maintenance mom is the best. Including only giving baths 3x/week and letting toddlers eat topless to minimize laundry stains.
I’m pretty sure I read in one of your posts that Mazzy and Harlow share a room… would love a post on how you made that happen, the bumps along the way to getting Mazzy to accept a roommate and you not fearing for Harlow’s life. And how you managed (juggled) your bedtime routines. Love your essays, btw. Helpful and amusing!
