When I was growing up, my taste in music was pretty much dictated by my parents’ taste in music; which was usually either Carole King or Neil Diamond playing on…gasp…the record player!

Excuse me while I go take my Centrum Silver and make sure my AARP membership is up to date. Ahem.

Now kids can summon any song in the universe just by looking it up on YouTube or asking Alexa to play it (at top volume), so these days, we probably hear more kid music than we hear of our own. Here’s one dad who has learned to embrace his 5-year-old daughter’s love of pop music by creating an adorable carpool karaoke video. There are even costumes involved.

If you listen closely, I think you can hear the sound of their music tastes becoming one and the same.
